Christopher's Fine Jewelry

Just had my grandma's diamond placed in a new setting as I was allergic to her setting. Christopher's did an excellent job! They had a great variety of rings, knowledgeable staff who made the process fun and the turn around time was faster than I could have wished for. What a great business! I've sold a few items here in the past and the price they paid was fair too. Kristine and Emma were kind and professional. I will forever treasure my family wedding ring!

I was so disappointed in the lack of courtesy and customer service I received. Perhaps I wasn't dressed appropriately for this establishment (Saturday comfy clothes) but when my husband and I went to pick up an item dropped off for repair, 1 out of 4 people acknowledged us and that's just because I asked if I could get my ring. Even after I initiated a greeting, one just looked at me like how dare I speak to him! It's was so stereotypical jewelry store snobbery. I would not want any of my friends and family to experience this so I will spread the word.

I don’t usually rate business but after having a horrible experience at Christopher’s I don’t want others wasting their time like I did. Less than a month ago I went in to see what they would buy my ring for, I don’t ever wear it, I gave them my ring and AIG paperwork, a young lady and old gentleman helped me. They told me they could $3,550 for it. I said I wanted to think about it and she said it wasn’t a problem that I could come back and the quote would be there. I’ve never sold or tried to sell any jewelry so i didn’t know what to expect. I went back today and was told they didn’t want to buy my ring, then when I said I had already been in she told me she could not find my quote and the best she could do is $2,000. So in less than a month I’m told my ring has too many embrations (again I don’t wear it and they didn’t mention any embrations less than a month ago), they wouldn’t buy it and then offer me $1550 less. They turn around and double, probably triple the price of the jewelry they buy or have the stone put in a different setting, gold melted. While my first experience was decent, I wouldn’t recommend going to Christopher’s. Their website states “Since 1980, our reputation for paying top prices, as well as for honesty, integrity and respect for the customer has made Christopher’s the place to sell your unwanted valuables. At Christopher’s, we are so confident that we will give you the best price, we invite you to shop around, get your best price, and then see us.” Looks like they are ruining a long reputation.

I love to peruse through the old coins as you never know what treasures will present itself from visit to visit.
