The Joseph Lawrence House is located in the heart of Collingwood, Ontario on the shores of Georgian Bay near the foot of Blue Mountain and offers a luxurious accommodation in a casual ambiance of relaxation and tranquility
Our home was originally built in 1866 by Joseph H. Lawrence, an early settler in the pioneer community of Hurontario Mills at the mouth of the Pretty River, and the the first Clerk of the Town of Collingwood when it was incorporated in 1858.
The red and buff brick front addition was completed in 1877 by Thomas and Elizabeth Fair, prominent merchants in this early community of Upper Canada.
Now this restored and renovated Designated Heritage Building with its antique furnishings and vintage lighting invites you to visit and to enjoy the Victorian charm and cozy elegance from the early days of prosperity in old Collingwood.
