Pleasant Manor Motel

Second time staying here. Great bang for your buck. Friendly staff. Clean rooms with high speed wifi and washrooms seem newly renovated. Definitely worth the value.

This motel is known for being dirty. Nothing for kids to do. Wouldn't recommend taking a child anywhere near it.

Good for a overnight stay. Room is utilitarian and I have to say the bed was comfortable. Owner very helpful and gave good suggestions for where to eat. Room was clean but bring a glass to brush your teeth. Not suitable for small kids. If you just need a room to sleep and go early the next day this establishment will work.

If I could make it zero stars I would. And I am nervous after reading posts that this hotel is going to charge us extra on my credit card for no reason. The story. My boyfriend and I booked a hotel at the Collingwood Motel for a night and was called and asked to cancel it by the owner because apparently that motel isn’t open over winter. He (Sam the owner) said he would shack us up in his other motel “Pleasant Manor Motel” that is just down the road and he would give me a King Bed. It was slammed this weekend at Blue Mountain because of family day weekend- so there was zero hotel availability- so I said sure! We checked in. The wife was kind. The room was from an episode of Bates Motel, but for $111? What more could I ask for. So we checked in and went snowboarding all evening. We came back to the motel (around midnight) and went to watch TV. No service. The TV is broken. Fine. No problem. Call the motel. Sam answers “what’s up” We tell him about the TV and he starts yelling at us telling us it’s midnight and there is nothing he can do. (I have this all recorded on video). He starts freaking out saying we need to check out now and that he is going to call the police. (We are very calm people, taking a mini vacation away without our three kids lol) Anyway. It is what it is. Just don’t stay here. We are sleeping on top of blankets and with one eye open. Bates Motel for real!

Place is clean.. Parking is good. Close to blue mountain.
