John's Gate Gourmet Bed and Breakfast

I really enjoyed my stay there and the hostess was amazing. Breakfast is simply a delight AND it's healthy (which is rare) and it's only few minutes away from downtown Niagara-on-the-lake. I definitely recommend.

“Amazing, Great food the best Hostess” Where does one begin.... we recently stayed 3 nights at Johns Gate B AND B and WE WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED. The Gourmet breakfast were so good and different everyday, what a great way to start every day. The food was delicious and so well presented. The owner was very considerate when we arrived and asked if we had food allergies and issues in order not to serve these items. The house is a lovely Victorian style home with a timeless decor and charm, the rooms were very clean and comfortable (as was the whole house ) with a beautiful wrap around porch. Quiet street and located a 10 minute walk to the center of old town on Queen street. If your visiting the wineries over 20 of them located with a 10km radius. Our hostess really went out of her way to make this (our first trip to the area) a memorable one. Thanks again for the tomatoes and Kale

My wife and I wanted to visit the Niagara falls area to celebrate our 24th wedding anniversary, but we did not want to stay in Niagara itself, so I did a little research on the Internet, and found the little town of Niagara on the Lake, and a little further research I made reservations at John's Gate Gourmet Bed and Breakfast. My wife and are neither experts nor novices at Bed and Breakfast stay. I suppose over the years we have stayed at between 5-10 B&Bs at various locations, and John’s Gate must be ranked at the top of our experiences. The comfort and utter cleanliness of Ms. Meheroo’s establishment is unsurpassed. The breakfasts are very delicious and represent I am sure hours of labor, and great attention to the smallest detail. Many of the breakfast ingredients are grown by Meheroo in her own on site gardens. All the above by themselves would have made for a greatly enjoyable stay, but it is the proprietress Ms. Meheroo, that really made our weekend one to stand out above others in our memory. Our comfort, our dining wishes, and every aspect of our overall experience in visiting her town, and the greater Niagara area were of great importance to her. She was attentive to our every offhand comment with insights and very helpful suggestions. She greatly helped guide us in our selections of places to visit, and dine. Afterward she always very sincerely inquired as to our experiences and adventures of the day. After a mere four days, we have come to greatly respect, and very fondly regard this most talented and quite amazing woman. Our memories of our time at Niagara on the Lake and John’s Gate Gourmet Bed and Breakfast will be fondly revisited for years to come. We wish all the best for Ms. Meheroo, and highly encourage others to discover this jewel of a Bed and Breakfast. Dave & Jackie Stokely Bristol, Indiana

We spent three nights at this beautiful B&B, initially I was skeptical about staying at a B&B, I like hotels. But my partner persuaded me in to trying it out since it was New Year’s Eve and our initial plan of going to Quebec was cancelled due to unforeseeable circumstances. I am so glad we chose this B&B, we had a wonderful time, the owner Meheroo is simply amazing. She has vast wealth of knowledge about everything, I found a kindred spirit in her. The house was immaculately cleaned, breakfast excellent, she is very helpful and kind. My partner who has stayed at plenty of B&B’s states that John’s Gate B&B is the best he has stayed at thus far. We plan on staying there again on our next visit this summer. For me personally meeting Meheroo was life changing. There is not one thing we didn’t like about our stay!!!
