Deanna and Alex are amazing hosts. The home made three-course breakfast is to-die-for. The location is perfect - within walking distance of Stratus and Big Head wineries, as well as the Garrison house and Treadwell for dinner or lunch, if you have enough room left in your stomach. The grounds are lovely - we've been twice, in the spring and fall - and both seasons are simply beautiful. We can't wait to go back. This time we will rent bikes from many of the nearby bike shops.

This is one of the most beautiful bed and breakfasts we have stayed in. The rooms are so well appointed and have so many thoughtful touches...from the lovely flowers on our balcony to the chocolate on our bedside table. There is a lovely common area with so many nice amenities such as a coffee maker (so appreciated in the am!) and a fridge stocked with soft drinks and snacks. This fridge was so handy when we returned from our wine tour and needed a place to store the cheese we brought. The hosts have travelled widely and their art and stunning photography are throughout the home. The backyard is an oasis...we could have sat there for hours watching the birds and enjoying the peace. As others have mentioned the breakfasts were amazing and the table settings were works of art :) Deanna and Alec are absolutely charming and made us feel so welcome. They were so knowledgeable about the area and had so many great tips that made our stay so much better. The location was ideal! We attended the concert at Jackson Triggs Winery and were only a 10 minute walk away. There were also several restaurants within walking distance. We truly had such a relaxing few days here we are already planning our return trip!

My fiance and I wanted a quiet, but nice weekend away before we tie the knot on September 30th. Deanna and Alec went above and beyond to make the experience top notch. For my fiance's birthday they brought out a homemade maple pecan scone with a candle in it and sang happy birthday! It was so nice. Not to mention the 3 course breakfast was amazing both days. The backyard is very private offering beautiful landscape, a hot tub, fire pit, and a place to sit and relax. We stayed in the Serengeti Suite. It had African Decor and was absolutely stunning. We had a Jacuzzi tub and a fireplace, with our own private patio. They also offered a nice lounge area with 24/7 coffee, tea, snacks, and cold drinks. If you want a relaxing weekend away, this is your spot. We are already planning our next visit to come back and stay at this B&B!

I had never been to Niagara on the lake or stayed in a B&B before. Explorer house was amazing. Great rooms. Great house. Great breakfast. Very comfortable stay down to the tiniest of details. Would highly recommend.

Great place to stay , hosts are amazing ! breakfast superb , and the place is immaculate , stayed 2 years in a row for vacation in Niagara on the lake , this place is close to everything , and the information packages that Alec and Deanna provide are fantastic , would recommend to anyone who like a super clean comfortable and relaxing stay !
