The food was pretty good but I didn't expect to be 500ft under water, I didn't think it would be that kind of sub. Thankfully a member of staff there taught me to scuba dive. Thanks Jimmy John's, or normal John, I guess.

Jimmy John's on S. Duff in Ames is as close to the company motto as a store can get. Freaky Fast Fresh. This sandwich shop sticks to the traditions that Jimmy John himself strove to develop from the beginning stores history in Charleston IL. When the simple 4 sandwich selection and 25 cent cups of soda paved the road of simplicity and his bread recipe drove the idea to the finish line. Additions over the years has not negatively affected brand image because those additions to the menu we're simplistic and flowed into the companies vision seamlessly. This allows the core principals to remained centered around efficiency, taste, and consistency. With the addition of a drive-thru service you can grab a sandwich even faster than before. So I would recommend this to anyone that was looking for fast, freaky fresh lunch, or an evening delivery on those nights that simplicity suites your mood and the taste satisfies the hunger within.

Quick and friendly service. They called us and apologized over a 1.50 extra charge on cheese. Offered to drive out cookies or something to make it right. Pretty cool.
