Jack Astor's Bar & Grill

We showed up about 20 minutes before closing after we finished at a concert. We really wanted a steak dinner but realized how last minute we were. The kitchen was only going to be open for about 5 more minutes which the server let us know about but he was very polite and let us know as long as we placed the order right away it wouldn’t be a problem. The service was great, even from the kitchen staff and the food tasted amazing! Would 10/10 recommend this restaurant.

The cocktails are always a hit at Jack Astor’s. This time I had the Mango Palmer. If you like sweet cocktails, then you’ll definitely enjoy this one. The pasta was also good although portion size was relatively small and slightly under-seasoned to my liking. But overall, great atmosphere with good music and great service.

I have to update this review. We went again last night, and the experience couldn't have been worse. The service was really slow, not for lack of service staff, they were all just socializing with each other and ignoring the tables. When the food finally did come, it was dry and tasteless. We won't be returning.nnContrast to our first visit when we said: We really enjoyed it, and my wife said it was the best steak she'd had.

I’ve been to various Jack Astor’s and this one was pretty solid. Best part was the food for sure. My wife got a three taco meal and I got chicken parm. Both dishes were great. Our waiter was also great but the young lady tasked with showing us to our table never made eye contact, dropped the menus on the table and basically ran away. So as with any restaurant with younger wait staff there’s a mixed bag. I saw someone else commented on how close the tables are and I’d agree it can feel tight. We sat on the “bar side” at a high table that was inches from the next table. All the same it’s a clean place to get good food.
