The only store in Canada that carries Royce chocolate. They’re very expensive, for a small box, Royce chocolates are around $30 before tax but they’re perfect gifts for every occasion. I bought a few boxes as birthday presents. The Royce chocolates are not too sweet and definitely more suitable for the Asian palette. I highly recommend the Nama Chocolate - Orange and Mango flavour. Only con is that this type of meltaway chocolate needs to be refrigerated an ice pack was given to me with my purchase. I also tried the mochi and highly recommend the sweet potato, one of the best mochis I’ve ever had. Again, not too sweet and you can really taste the little bits of sweet potato- does not taste artificial at all!

The mochi here is amazing! My favourite was the raspberry mille-feuille, it’s creamy inside with some crunchy bits. It’s recommended to let them sit for about 15 minutes first so they defrost a little before enjoying them.

I know Japanese sweets usually have short shelf/best before periods but less than a month is just shady . I went to pick out a gift for my doctor and was in a hurry, so I didnt think to chk the date I also assumed J sweets still has high standards I found out right after I had paid that it would expire in less than 1 month. And the staff told me all their stuff had same date. As if that was believeable. I WILL NOT give my doctor this coz no one gives a gift that will expire in less than a month unless fruits! This place is expansive, shady and not worth it anymore. Stay far away!

Good Japanese Mochi in Richmond Recommended flavors are black sesame, green tea, strawberry short cake, sakura, raspberry mille-feuille. Bought 6 mochi and got 15% discount. Nama chocolate is one of the signature sweets there but price is pretty high.

J.sweets is located inside Aberdeen Centre. Currently, they only sell mochis and cookies in a booth. Everything looks great and cute, especially, HelloKitty cookies with nice looking packages! They are the perfect gift for most people. A little pricey for me, but happy wife, happy life. I bought HelloKitty cookies, green tea mochi, matcha cookies, and strawberry cookies. The lady also gave a free cookie. For me, the green tea mochi and matcha cookies are my favourites. It might sound cliche; green tea mochi and matcha cookies are not too sweet, not too bitter. The amount of matcha powder is perfect in every way. The store is still under renovation though. I can't wait to try their mochi creams, and look forward to trying other pastries.

OH MY GOD the mochi is spectacular!!!! the most beautiful delicious mochi ever and I love me some mochi customer service was great, sorry some people had bad experiences....its unfortunate I don't live there...but good for me financially....I could spend alot of money there....see you next time!!

J.sweets sell fresh mochi from a Japanese brand, mochicream, with flavours like your classic green tea, black sesame, sakura, and others as well, such as caramel macchiato, chocolate banana, and blueberry yogurt. I tried the green tea and black sesame, both of which I recommend! The blueberry yogurt was decent, but the flavour didn’t quite fit the mochi, compared to a slice of cake. Remember, it is best consumed within 24 hours!

Selection of Royce Chocolate is fairly limited. They don’t have many dark chocolate choices nor any pure chocolate collection. Very disappointed.

Tried the mochi, they're $2.75 ea. A wide variety of unique flavours. It's good but the rice ball exterior could be thinner. Very creamy inside though!
