Most awful retail shopping experience This is the worst J crew store in Toronto. Shop is clean in front but keeps getting messy as you proceed. Sale racks are almost always a huge mess. The worst thing is the staff are either so annoying and pushy to make commissions or so unhospitable, they look like they hate their job and rather be elsewhere and can't be bother to help you at all. Especially the overweight male manger who is so grouchy and condescending and the older grim looking lady with a with a bob cut and glasses who is just dismissive and lazy. I have been coming to this store for years as it is closest to my house, not once that I was in the store, did I see them smile at a customer or be pleasant. Never coming here again, rather shop online or elsewhere. Every US J crew thatwwe have been to has always been a delightful shopping experience with young and chic and friendly knowledgeable associates but there Canadian stores are major let down. J crew head office should look into this.

Poor customer service habits apparent throughout this location. Full of attitude and lacking in basic service. CORPORATE / HEAD OFFICE NEEDS TO INVESTIGATE STAFF AND MANAGEMENT AT THIS LOCATION. You will reach the counter to hear from a manageer, "did anyone help you" and your definitive no yields an apathetic response. BASIC TRAINING PRINCIPLES ABSENT: ask to look in the system, ask to look in the back, ask if someone needs help and don't give rude responses / condescending glares and don't cut off your customers mid sentence. I CHALLENGE MANAGEMENT TO SPEAK UP ON THE FORUM!! Look at the posts.

The customer service here is inconsistent. Sometimes I will go in and the ladies will want to help me find whatever it is I’m looking for and will bend over backwards to provide excellent customer service. Other times I will go in and they will resist doing what they can to help me. I shop online and then go in store to find what I like, so I usually have pictures of maybe 2-3 items I’m looking for. They can call in and have someone look for the item and ship it to my home, but for some reason they don’t like to do this. Especially this one shoulder length blond hair lady, who has always said that they don’t have the item even if they call in but I don’t think she actually checks. Sad thing is, I think she’s the manager or at least acts like it. I hate not knowing the experience I am going to have before I go in.

The staff in the men's section on November 25, 2017 were pretentious, abrasive, rude and unhelpful. Any question regarding items in the back, sizes, or other colours available at other stores were met with a firm 'no' before i finished speaking. There were no offers to look in the system and repeated prompts to search the system were met with a rude glare and insistence that i should check on my own. Where is the proactive, problem solving, customer friendly basic training at this location? Where is managements accountability? Ended up buying a sweater but wish i could have bought it elsewhere due to the hostile environment. I hope Management at Sherway J.Crew steps up.
