Friendly staff, just airport is not well lit early in the morning, so visbility was poor driving in. They need to fix the lights and reflective signs at the terminal. However my check in was, just expect the basics, only vending machines past the checkpoint.

Small airport. Friendly people. But my flight left at 610 pm and the cafe was closed when we arrived at 5pm. We figured we could share a light meal together b4 I left. I was not familiar with this airport, but I don't have any love lost for the city of Ithaca the lackluster Airport accommodations shouldn't have surprised me.

I've only tried to use the Ithaca airport once, to catch a flight to Philly and then on to New Orleans. When we arrived at the airport we were told the plane we were to get on never made it to Ithaca, and that we had to be re-routed. The lady helping us was surprisingly friendly and got all 3 of us in first class seats from Syracuse to NO. There is a shuttle service to and from the Syracuse airport, but we opted to drive ourselves. I have to give 3 stars because we never actually flew out of Ithaca, but the first class upgrade was a welcome and undeserved boon for us. Also, I wish they flew to JFK...

United staff and manager were exceptional - so nice. They helped me get to Newark so I could pick up my passport at the airport Fedex office, for my connecting flight to Hong Kong. I can't believe it all worked out! Thanks to all who helped me get here! So appreciative!

Basically a pretty badly managed airport. If you happen to fly out on a warm sunny day and all the stars align properly, you'll get out of there and usually on time. But the facility seems ill-equipped to deal with anything that comes up, and flights are frequently cancelled or severely delayed as they have to call in Bob the mechanic who lives an hour away, or the de-icing person didn't show up for work, etc etc. If you are on a schedule, fly out of Elmira or Syracuse instead. Otherwise, you have a 50/50 chance of actually getting out of Ithaca when you intended to.
