Irvine definitely has some knowledgeable and helpful staff. The two coming to mind are Jennifer and Shane. Jennifer has a real knack for listening and working with your ideas on a design/vision. She's also very appreciative of the big expenses associated with renovations and has great ideas to keep costs down. Shane was helping us with vinyl flooring decisions and provided a lot of perspective and help in the process. We were shopping for mid to high range furnishings and in Barrie were unable to find better selection, pricing and service. Definitely recommend them.

I come here for all my flooring and paint needs. Excellent service from all staff and a superb range of products.

Was all prepared to buy flooring from Irvine. Had the estimator come to the house for measurements. Said, the store would contact me in a few days for the final estimate. Over a week went by no response by phone or email. I phoned store. Was told it would be done soon. Well another two days, no response.
If they treat you that crappy before they have your money, how poorly are they going to treat after they have your down payment. I couldn't trust them at all.

Customer service nightmare. Only thing done promptly was collecting my money. Arrived to pickup flooring and paperwork was not ready. Told by warehouse guy that the new staff at the desk was clueless. Transition t molds came without installation tracks. Oh yeah, Sarah says, that's a new thing. Wait 2 weeks to buy them separately. Try to return unused flooring. Sarah has to do paperwork for return. Second trip, paperwork not done. Leave the floor, come back for the refund. Go somewhere else!

I had a water leak in my house and the insurance company hired Paul Davis to handle the restoration. Paul David contracted Irvine Carpet One to handle the first floor hardwood floor replacement.
PRE-INSTALL: Easy to reach by phone. I went into the store to look at samples. The entire process is very confusing. To make a long story short the flooring I thought I was getting was not what arrived. Totally different color. Their was a lot of arguing back and forth of who's fault it was. Lesson learned from both my side as well as theirs I believe - get a signature on EXACTLY what wood you are ordering with a picture of the color in that document. I will say this - they moved quickly to find the right wood and have it installed within a couple of days.
INSTALLATION: The actual install looks great. Fantastic really. Very happy with the final product. The bad - and I am truly upset - their installers must have used my unfinished basement to cut their wood. I only have one power outlet down there that has a power bar plugged in powering the hot water heater, deep freeze, etc. They unplugged that to power their tools. They NEVER plugged it back in. I was away for a few days and when I came home to no hot water I realized they never plugged it back in. As such my deep freeze was down for almost 4 days. I was able to recover most of the food - some stuff was ruined. No apology or offer to do anything. Then at the same time I realized that the lights in the basement no longer worked. Their suggestion was to check the light bulbs. Duh! All 4 burt out? No offer to help. I had my insurance company get an electrician and they found that the hammering of the hardwood above broke a junction box's connection. Took 2 minutes to fix. Irvine would have known they broke it as the lights would have been off when they were down there trying to cut wood.
Would I go back again - most likely not. Disorganized pre-install and really unhappy they didn't care about what they did during the install. I will say the flooring itself was great (by Armstrong) and the actual install quality was excellent.
