I really would recommend this place to a friend. The only downside was the wait. We had a party of seven and we waited 2.5 hours for a seat. If you have more than 2 people I would probably suggest making a reservation far in advance. Great selection of meats and the sauce and sticky rice were bomb as hell. I will probably return in the future
Was a better experience than I was expecting! Very spacious seating and environment; the vibe was very casual and music K-pop of course wasn’t too distracting. Food choices entree and sides were a bit on the simple side, but pretty good quality for the price we paid for all-you-can-eat! So unfortunate we had to wait over an hour Saturday at 5 pm, for a party of two to get seated. Wish they took reservations.
Great dining experience and food if you love Korean BBQ with Korean pop music. When first entering, we were greeted politely by the front door guy who made our reservations. Even though he said an hour, we lucked out, and it only ended up being 20 minutes. After being promptly seated, our server explained everything we needed about how to prepare our food. He was nice and very attentive to our needs. The meat that was brought to us was excellent, and with our servers' instruction, I was able to cook the meat quite well. We had the shrimp, Hawaiian steak, season steak ,Octopus , steam egg, and pork steak. The drink we had was the supo, which was quite tasty as well. I recommend coming here in a group or is perfect for Date night if you enjoy the korean pop music vibe.
$29 per person for all you can eat Korean BBQ food at weekends or dinners. For a group of eight or over, reservations are needed 24 hours ahead. For lunch from Mondays to Thursdays, it’s $22 for all you can eat. I highly recommend to everyone. I love eating around and this is one of my favorite Asian restaurants after one time visit! It tastes great and worths the price!
In my overall experience it was great! The restaurant was very lively and busy, especially during the evening hours. Be warned that the music is a bit loud for ambiance. My 70+ year old mom could handle it, but the volume atmosphere may not be for everyone. I recommend getting there anytime before 4pm before the crowd hits. There's free parking around the back area where Jewel & Osco is for the restaurant. Unfortunately we didn't find this out til we arrived at the entrance, but the metered street parking was only a few bucks via the parking app, not bad. We arrived there around 5pm on a Tuesday. I guess we got super lucky as "walk-in" customers as it is highly recommended to make a reservation in advance. We got seated within 5 minutes. As the night went on, it got extremely busy. We did the "All You Can Eat" Korean BBQ for dinner. Menus are contactless so have your phones ready to scan the QR code. You can only order 3 meats at a time. There was a decent amount of portions between me and my mom. We totalled our meal to 8 portions with refills on drinks and steamed rice on the side. Getting the waiter will be a little tough, it's super busy in the restaurant so they're trying their best to serve everyone. Don't be offended if they pass you up or they forget something. Just understand the busy atmosphere that's inside there. Every 3 portions, they'll switch out the grill plate. The food was fantastic and all the things we ordered were tasty. And really made us full by the end of the meal. I don't know if you can request standard eating utensils. It's mainly a chopstick dining experience. Our whole meal ended up being $70 before tip. It's worth it in my opinion. Gonna try to see if some friends can come along with me to enjoy this place.
Make sure you go not at a busy time, because if it’s busy your gonna be waiting a long while lol. Once your inside and seated, you’ll under stand why people love this restaurant so much. The staff is amazing and the music slaps hard, lol so makes sure you have your night club ears on when you go there because it can get pretty loud. The food is great just make sure not to order the chicken hahah because you won’t get it till the end when your already full from everything else haha anywho go to Iorn age for yourself and see how you like it!
my friend and i went here for lunch on saturday and we were quickly seated. Servers were nice and attentive, changing our grills whenever it burns. It is ayce korean bbq for about $40 after tax and tip per person, drinks not included. You can order three meats and three sides at a time in addition to the banchan. Our favorite meats were beef brisket, seasoned steak, bulgogi, and pork belly. Even though there are four sauces, all of them are inadequate companion to the meats, lacking in flavor. They surely need to add ssamjang to their sauce collection. For their sides, i like the salad and kimchi. I dont see corn cheese which would be a good addition. During weekday lunch its much cheaper $22 so I would want to go again during the week bringing my own ssamjang!
All you can eat KBBQ options are rare in Chicago and when you get it at a sub $30 price it is hard to beat. Loved the food and the place. Server was friendly and took great care of us. The one little stain in the experience was when the host did not honor the line and seated people that came after us while we were waiting.
For three of us it was only a 15 minute wait on a week night. The staff was attentive and the food tasty. It was also a very fun atmosphere. Only reason for 4 starts and not 5 is the quality of some of the cuts of meat we’re not so good. The sauces and dips were amazing.
Not the greatest meats but can’t beat the price for this kind of kbbq in Chicago, especially for lunch. Really enjoy the japcahe and Hawaiian bugolgi. Wouldn’t go here often but it’s a great place if you’re in the mood for AYCE.
