We walked in after some lunch plans fell through but we were pleasantly surprised. We ordered the Goat Sticks, the Ava-Lance and the Jr. Cheese and everything was good. The breadsticks were super soft and warm and the dip was good not great. The pizza was good, especially the crust! The service was a little slow but given how packed they were, this was to be expected. Overall I would say this place is worth trying, especially if you've tried Paradise Park or Happy Camper and enjoy that vibe!
Very busy restaurant in City of Chicago. Very crowded. Lots of varieties food items. They have nice bar too. Varieties of pizza options. Unbelievable. You can build your own pizzas with lots of different toppings. Overall nice place to dine in. Parking: Very hard to park. If you are lucky you may get street parking close to the restaurant.
Local Chicago pizza joint serving salads and more. Loud atmosphere w sports on giant tv screens everywhere. Music is loud in the back lounge. If you want to have a quiet dining experience you won't find it here. Lots of large group dining seating available. Pizza is pretty good w cornmeal crust. Not paper thin crust but not deep dish. We went on a Saturday around 230pm and it was pretty busy. I would go back Wheelchair accessibility: No wheel chair accessibility thru the front door. Have to step up
Chose this place due to its gluten free and dairy free pizza. I read rave reviews about the gluten free crust. I ordered a gluten free pepperoni pizza with vegan cheese. For me it was just okay. Either the cheese or the sauce had a pretty strong garlic flavor which I didn’t particularly enjoy. The pizza was very filling, though, which was nice. My brother ordered one of their specialty pizzas and he really enjoyed it and my partner ordered a burger does not come with fries and said it was a burger, nothing special. Overall it was nice to find a place with options for both me and my non gluten free companions.
The location is cool, but there’s a loud train every few minutes. There’s both dining in and out service. The pizza is just a pizza. The potato skin is delicious you must try! The wings is fine too. The service was toooo slow I kept waiting every time I want something!!
This place is a vibe! Super popular, it seemed, on weekends. Drinks were good but at least $14. The pizza was good but like $30. Would recommend for a happy hour- the aesthetic is super cool and fun- they have a back room that is like warm, grassy, has a mock-trailer/porch to sit in- super cool environment and fun place for people of all ages. Lots of TVs for good game watching as well.
Been here before and had a completely different experience so maybe this was a fluke. Did takeout and the pizza was burnt and very dry. Supposed to be a creamcheese base and tasted no sauce or cream cheese. Paid $32 for a smallish medium pizza. Was cold when we ate it - possibly our fault but it was only a 10 minute drive.Food: 1/5
Their heated outdoor patio is a gamechanger. Came here last weekend on a typical cold Chicago day around 30 degrees F and being on their patio could’ve fooled me into thinking it was the summer! Great natural lighting, fun drink choices, and good options for a bite to eat. Can’t wait to come back here when it actually ~is~ summer. Wait staff was also very friendly and the hostesses had a charger for my cousin’s phone that died
The pizza is pretty good. It's a little heavy on the parmesan cheese which kicks up the salty factor. For me, where Homeslice pizza really shines is the leftover feature. It is some of the best "next day" cold pizza that I have ever had. So, my advice to you is to come out to the restaurant itself for some great ambiance, have some pizza, drink some beers and take the bulk of your pizza home for lunch the next day.
Delicious food- Sunday brunch was perfect here! The Bloody Mary spicy was to die for. We had two appetizers; Goat Stix and the Elote Dip, and both were awesome. My husband's burger, he said, was fine but not super flavorful. I had the pulled pork hash off the brunch menu and it was *very* flavorful. Service was very friendly and fast. Not able to split checks on parties of over 6 people. Kitchen staff dropping off plates of food wore gloves every time! Totally killer atmosphere, I wanted to hang out all day. I saw people online saying the train going by is super loud, which I guess is true but it only lasts for like 8 seconds at a time. Not a big deal at all. It was so relaxed and cheerful. Just all around it was great.
