Incredible restaurant! The vibe was amazing. Dimly lit. Delicious smells. The drinks were super good. I had a drink with ginger and then the old fashioned. The food though. OMG. We started with the Brussels sprouts. Super tender. Didn’t have the typical aftertaste. Super good. The carrots were insane! Never had carrots like that. I’m not a big carrot eater, but my wife really enjoyed them. Next up was the agnolotti which is in the top 3 pasta dishes I’ve EVER had! It was a riff off French onion soup and was almost like a soup dumpling! We had the NY strip and it was perfectly cooked with a delicious char. For dessert we tried this incredible coffee crème brûlée. So so good. We were too full for the donuts, so next time. 10/10 would recommend.
Everything was delicious here and I would gladly come back whenever I visit Chicago next. We were a group of 8 celebrating for a bachelorette weekend and this was a really nice, special meal together. We were a little intimidated by the shared plates ordering, but our waitress was super helpful in figuring out how much to order and even provided recommendations for where to go out later that night.
OOO GIRL very sexy restaurant, long dark candle lit hallways with swanky music and cocktails, food is divine, share everything, personal favorites include the pork, shishito peppers & carrots
It was my first time here and hope to return soon. The restaurant is delightful. It's not just the food, but also the atmosphere and lighting. We were quite cozy and relaxed while enjoying our dinner on Friday, 17 Feb 2023. I especially loved the record collection that's in regular rotation. Food: 5/5
Really cool place with plenty of street parking. The shishito peppers are finger licking good. The burrata appetizer was also great, as is everything else I've had here before, but I wouldn't order the ribeye again. At $40 for a 16oz cut it seemed like a bargain. The flavor on the meat was nice and the pile of fries was appreciated but the meat was sinewy and not well-marbled.
Second time here and we were blown away again. Our server Kyle was phenomenal and gave us great recommendations. He was attentive and helpful! We never had an empty glass. The food, like last time, was amazing. We had the burrata, brussels, gnocchi, and steak and everything was perfect. Can’t wait to come back!
Let me start out this review by saying that we have been to Ada St multiple times, and usually LOVE everything about it. But, recently we hosted my husband's company Christmas party there, and they booked us out on the patio in December. They said that it was closed and heated, so we thought we'd be ok. The day of the event, we got a message to tell people to wear a light layer. When we arrived at the event, everyone had to keep their winter jackets on, we could all see our breath, and the heaters were not doing the job. We requested more heaters, but they had none. The patio was covered, but there were parts of the covering that were completely open to the air, so it felt like most of the heat escaped. On top of this, they apologized for understaffing our party at the beginning, admitting they didn't have enough staff on hand, which caused the service to be slow for the first hour and a half. While we appreciated their apology, it didn't change the fact that our efforts to treat people to a fancy holiday celebration for their hard work did not pan out. We made the best of it, but we were all very cold. When the food did come, it was very good as usual. For small groups or date nights, this place is a big win, but our advice is not to book the patio in the winter. I'm still confused as to why it's even an offering for them given how the night went. Anyway, there were multiple apologies made, but no efforts to comp any of the large bill or make it right in any other way. We think you can do a little better Ada Street, because you usually do! What happened? Very confused and disappointed.
Came in with high expectations that were unfortunately unmet. The patio space was lovely, and the addition of a ping pong table was a lot of fun. However, the food was rather mediocre and one-note. The standout were the scallops, which paired excellently with the savory bacon jam. Otherwise, the tagliatelle and lamb ribs were forgettable. Sorry to say that I likely will not return.
Extremely cool place. The food we ordered as well as the drinks! were quite sweet, which was disappointing, with the exception of the fantastic lamb that was just amazing.Food: 3/5
We ended up here after we lost a reservation at Club Lucky. Food wasn't as memorable as the mysterious entrance and the friendly staff. Bring your checkbook.
