Had lunch on July 14 2022. There was only 5 people inside. Got seated and served fast . Staff was friendly. We got bruschetta with cheese and was ok. Lots lots of tomatoes.Food was ok but expensive. I mean for that price I expected more . My fettuccine rose no meat was 25 for chicken 10 more and portions for me was a mall and taste was nothing I go back for but not bad just very bland taste. Second order was penne sausage and my partner tho he found portion size good he did not think meat was good. Was good attentive service but price for a lunch was expensive. No drinks or desert was 70
Came here for a fine dining experience with the family, but was instead met with lacklustre service and dishes that looked and tasted miserable to be served. When we were seated the hostess who served our table was unfriendly and rushed our orders. My grandma was informed that ordering hot water with a lemon slice would be charged as a tea4.00 as-well. We were also informed that sharing an appetizer would charge us another 5 dollars for a “splitting fee”. Additionally my water cup lay barren many times during the meal and I could count on five fingers the amount of times the server came to check on us. When it came to the main course I ordered the Linguini Pescatore which is homemade noodles infused with squid ink tossed with assorted seafood and a tomato based sauce. This was supposed to be an Italian delicacy but it was anything but. I was served plain linguini with frozen/grainy scallops with a watery sauce. When inquiring about the missing squid ink noodles I was informed that they were out and that I should’ve known this as I was “supposedly” told they didn’t have any when I ordered. This was not the case as I had no recollection of this conversation and further more I got nothing I ordered and it cost me almost 40 dollars. They insulted my integrity as a customer and made me starve as a result of this unpleasant dish. The dessert was good as it was the only thing that relived my appetite. I would not recommend this place as a fine dining experience if you want to be treated with respect as a customer and receive the food you order.
I’ve been eating at this restaurant for 5+ years and the Sandwich’s are great for a quick go to when your on the go. When I have the time to dine-in or lazy to make dinner, I definitely go for the lasagna. Staff is great and friendly and it’s nice when they recognize a face/regular when I come in. I’ve rated a number of restaurants when I travel and for whatever reason I’ve neglected the restaurant I’ve eaten at the most. Definitely 5 stars despite the negative reviews. I can only assume people that gave bad reviews are a customs to cafeteria food/prices….. At the end of the day we’ve all witnessed bad restaurants that closed down during the pandemic…. Il Tartufo is still open which speaks for itself.
Over priced...... portions are way too small......check your bill before paying because we were charged for items we didn't even order..... never again going there.... terrible
First time here. Despite some negative reviews, my friend and I decided to give it a try. I'm so glad we did. The service was actually really lovely. The server was very polite and attentive. I had the Caprese salad, and then the spaghetti with oil and artichokes, sun dried tomato, and mushrooms. It was delicious, and a large portion. Anyway, I'm not sure what's with all the not so good reviews, I loved it and will come back again soon. *Disclaimer* I'm Italian
Il Tartufo owns and operates a cute little restaurant adjoining the establishment called Presto Presto. Their sandwiches are so well made and authentic it is only exceeded by their warm customer service. Thank you, Kim.
Food and ambience was good, the waitress was attentive and polite. I was disappointed in the portions and the fact that they don’t serve water , I thought that was customary for dining in a restaurant.
I recently went to Il Tartufo Restaurant again and had another wonderful experience! The food was exceptional and extremely tasty! Every dish I order from the menu keeps getting better and better. Also, the ambiance and feel of the restaurant is very warm and cozy...so inviting! Such an beautiful experience. I will definitely keep going there again and again! I had an absolutely AMAZING EXPERIENCE at Il Tartufo Restaurant!! The food is cooked to perfection with excellence in every dish ordered! Not only is the food really great! it's priced fairly as well. The service is super warm and personable with a smile! If you like authentic Italian cuisine and very fine wine with an exquisite atmosphere - this is the place to go! Really, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone!! *** I went again to Il Tartufo Restaurant and the food was exceptional as usual!! The food is so tasty unlike most other restaurants through the city! I have tried most of the dishes on the menu and they are all cooked with care and in a very traditional way. Every dish is an experience on its own. The food is outstanding, the service is great and the atmosphere is relaxing!
Not even worth one star rating. The owner is absolutely rude to customers and the price of food is ridiculous for what you get! Charged $62 for 2 lasagnas! Insane! Definitely not worth supporting!!!!!!
One star for this restaurant is generous enough. This place is expensive to eat for lunch. The waiter expected us to spend at least $20.00 per person. I asked for ice water in a pitcher for the table. The waiter came back with a bottle of carbonated sparkling water, which cost $8.00/ bottle. This restaurant doesn't serve water or sell bottled water for drinks. The worse Italian restaurant I've ever been to. I haven't been back since then.
