I don't do reviews unless the product is very good or very bad because anything in between doesn't count. I had a review for these guys before because the pizza was among the best that I had. After the third trip I started to notice that there was less and less cheese on it. So I took down the review and avoided the place. Today I was passing by and I said let me try them again. I noticed they have increased the price on their walk-in special by 50%. I figured that maybe that will solved the lack of cheese problem but seeing as the place was nearly empty at 6pm, on a Sunday, I figured that i better go with a slice. Thank God I did because it no longer tastes like pizza. The cheese has the taste and texture as if it were spread from a bottle with a spoon, like cheese whiz. I ate half the slice and then I threw the other half, which you see photographed, away. I don't know if that stuff can be legally classified as cheese. All the pizza shops on that stretch of the road are skimming on ingredients and these guys may feel that is the only way to compete and have even one upped the competition with fake cheese to get the competitive advantage. Which is a shame because unlike the competition, which are working under a franchise, these people are working under their name and their honor or lack thereof and for that I'll never return.
Great tasting pizza, good amount of cheese and the toppings are excellent. Only complaint is that I wish there was more tomato sauce, can’t really taste any but a great slice none the less. The dip reminds me of pizza pizza garlic so it’s a good dip as well.nnUpdate: went back another time and asked for extra tomato sauce and the pizza was phenomenal. Went from 4star to 5star rating easily.
A true hidden gem for traditional Italian grandma-style pizza, generously loaded with cheese. Be sure to ask for it well done, as the base tends to soften quickly under the toppings.nnThe atmosphere is cozy and chic, though there was only one server on a Saturday night.nnOn my pepperoni pizza, the slices were placed both above and below the cheese. I prefer them on top to avoid steaming.nnThe pizza is a bit greasy, but you can easily blot it with napkins.nnOverall, it offers great value—$22 for a large dine-in pizza that’s quite filling.nnParking seemed limited, but I managed to find a spot right out front.nnI'll be revisiting to try the other items.
I paid $15 for a glass of red wine that I did not drink as you can clearly see from the photo the glass was disgustingly NASTY and NOT clean.nWhen I mentioned it to the waiter he smirked and advised the owner would not change it.nnI paid for it none the less and even tipped the server as I know if the owner is that nasty to his customers he isn't treating his staff any better.nnThe price of the wine was almost double what I ordered from the menu.
Well its a small place but very cozy. They have just the right amount of selection to choose from. You can't go wrong. I find that the sauce is getting to be a bit spicy for me.nOtherwise its one of my favorite places to go for Italian food.
