Story

The Pie Commission serves handmade savoury (and some sweet) 5" pies, born and baked in Toronto!
We offer a modern interpretation of the classic British-style savoury pie.
We make all of our pies from scratch, in-house, using only natural ingredients with nothing weird, that-you-can’t-pronounce added. This includes only premium cuts of Canadian meat, the freshest produce and homemade beef, chicken and vegetable stocks, all enveloped in a dangerously delicious all-butter crust.

The savoury pie has been reinvented.

Pies served baked hot or frozen and hot pies can be served with fresh handcut Fries, Mixed Green Salad or Coleslaw.

This location is their bakery, from where you can buy fresh and frozen pies to take home, and hot ones for takeout or to eat on the premises. They make savory and dessert pies (and a really good sausage roll). They have a couple of picnic tables outside but very little space (if I recall correctly just a couple of stools) inside. The staff are friendly and helpful; previously when they noticed I was stopping by on my bike they offered to re-box the pies I'd just bought to fit on my bike rack better. - no customer bathroom - I believe this location is wheelchair accessible

This place is always good. The crust of the pies are like nothing else I’ve seen. It’s very flaky and has this soft buttery taste to it that melts in your mouth. The staff is always pleasant and describes the products with great detail. I’ve been coming for years and will continue to eat your delicious food. Thanks :$$$)))))

Who puts Lobster in pies!? These guys!! Lobster, shrimp & crab in a creamy bisque the Commission has landed! Other favourites Butter Chicken, Braised Beef they have Veggie options as well. Comfort food done to perfection! Get them frozen, heated or thawed for take home satisfaction

Tried the chicken cheddar pie and the butter chicken. Both were bomb and the workers were friendly. Easy to park as well. It’s a bit hidden, just in the neighbourhood behind queensway.

The logo is what caught our eye to check out this place. Now it's gonna be a "go to" for awesome meat pies! A lovely buttery crust, tender meat fillings in a bunch of flavours. Definitely a 5 star!
