I was shoked by service provided by male staff recently on January 19, 2023. I was purchasing few sweeters with turtleneck at Reitmans Eaton Centre Toronto and male shop Associate was removing hangers through the turtleneck by stretching them really badly. When I told him to stop doing that and remove hangers through the bottom of the sweeter - he followed. But, really, why I should have that experience? Isn't it logical to be respectful to someone's purchased items and do not ruin the clothing right in front of customer? It seemed like he was having a hard time while he was removing hangers through narrow part of the turtleneck sweater so to help him may be I should offer him to get scissors and cut the turtleneck so hanger removal will be more easier.... Very upset with such service and luck of brain this male staff. Moreover, when he served me - he never smiled and his attitude was like I am bothering him. When I said in the end: "Thank you, have a nice day" - he didn't even looked at me even though he was still in front of me behind his desk - what he did - he just turned around pretending that he is busy with something else. What can I say - very poor customer service! Reitmans -Eaton Centre location, downtown Toronto - instead of progressing, you getting back. Sadly ...
My "go to" store for casual basics. They have a petite section, and various types of pants for different body shapes.
Worst customer service, the lady behind the counter was least interested in doing in her job and was very unprofessional. Made us feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome. It was kind of racist.
Worst customer service at this location. They don’t know how to talk to customers. I shopped there today and the lady did not give me the coupon. I checked later when I reached home and it was not in my bag. I live far away and I told her everything on the phone. She said you should have reminded us and there isn’t anything we can do. I asked her to email it to me and she said we can’t do anything. They don’t help you with anything.
Terrible experience. I went to return some online purchases in-store. First the rude cashier bigger blond who works Saturday mornings told me she couldn't take them back as they were final sale. I showed her and the manager the items on the website, pointing out they weren't marked final sale, and they insisted that anything ending with .97 are final sale as if I'm just supposed to know this. They said I should have read the detailed return instructions implying that these would say that anything ending in .97 were final sale -- I did read them later and they say nothing of the sort, so they outright lied to me. The cashier was extremely rude and condescending, acting as if it was my fault. She agreed to do the refund "This one time." And she took FOREVER. There was a long line forming behind me throughout all this, and no one else at the other register. So I wanted to get out as soon as possible, so it wasn't until I got home that I checked my receipt and realized she had purposely not refunded me for one of the items I'd returned. I called the next day and spoke to a much nicer manager, who asked me to come back to process the refund on the item the incompetent cashier had left out. So I had to schlep all the way back. They acknowledged that Reitmans doesn't mark final sale items as such on the website but tells employees not to accept returns of these items despite this. How is this not outright deception and stealing from customers?! Between the intentional deception of customers on the website and the rudeness and dishonesty of the cashier, this was the worst clothes shopping experience I've ever had. I will NEVER spend a single cent with them again I hope this horrible company goes out of business.
Worst location I ll never go there again they don’t pick up the phone either . I called thm 15 times Thn she picked up and was very rude lady .. In store service was 0 ..
The staff was rude both at the entrance and at the cashier. They were really nice to other customers of the same race as them but somehow really rude to us non-caucasian, customers of asian origin.... As much as I don't want to imply racism, it felt like it because she abruptly "threw" the article of clothing that we had paid for to us and did not ask us for our email or account like she did with the previous customer. However one would want to phrase this, this behaviour is not very professional and unacceptable.
Greta store, with good quality collection for tall women. Sellers are very friendly and helpful. Not expensive and after your purchase, they give you Cash gift card proportionally of your amount purchase so it becomes not expensive. There are pieces of suit pants and suit shirts for all body sizes, mostly tall women, so rare. Great store.
Was looking for a dress for a wedding this summer, walked in with my boyfriend, made eye with on of the women working and was completely ignored. Only to hear her happily greet and talk about the current promos to an older lady who walked in maybe 30 seconds after us. Not once did either of the two ladies working come ask if I needed help or a size. I waited outside of the fitting room before going in to try on because I know some places prefer that you don't just walk in but, we were continued to be ignore so I hung up the dress and walk out only to see the two ladies just talking at the register. There were no other customers in the store yet no one even acknowledged us? Very disappointed.
My comments here are not to bash the store but to help improve their customer service. Yesterday evening when I visited this location all three ladies on the floor didn't really have a clue what they were selling. I asked one girl at the front if she could help me find the wide leg pants I was looking for. She then continued to show me every pant in the store than the ones I wanted. A customer watching this commented to me; "you wouldn't think it would be that hard", where I responded; "one would think!". The next girl on the floor I asked did the exact same thing for the next item I was searching for. I'm an educated, articulate woman, it really shouldn't be this difficult to understand me. I managed miraculously to find something close to what I needed and then when I explained my ordeal to the lady, I suspect was the manager at checkout, she too went over and had a look to see if she could find exactly what I was looking for and of course it wasn't there. A few years ago when I worked in retail we knew our merchandise and we didn't need to go running around the store to find it. We also weren't aggressive with the customer. These ladies had an attitude about them that made me feel very uncomfortable. They should really learn a thing or two from their colleagues at the Yonge and Eglinton & Eglinton and Warden stores as they know their stuff and are always very pleasant.
