Hudson's Bay

I usually love shopping at the Bay, but yesterday I had a totally different experience. I could not find anyone on the floor to help me choose my purchase, then once I was ready to purchase items, it took almost 30 minutes in lineups to pay for my items. If I wasn't in a rush and desperate at that time, I would have left without buying. I could only find 3 open cash registers (of the 7 stations I visited) and I went to all 3. I was 4th in line behind 3 people returning items. The cashiers couldn't figure out how to complete the transactions of 2 of the customers (one was returning something that didn't match a sku number and the other didn't have enough cash in her register (nor did other registers on the floor), so they wasted a lot of time trying to get help. I went to another register where the gentleman would not honour a posted discount & sent me elsewhere. The next cashier I went to was not 'authorized' to honour the discount. Finally, I returned back to the first stations where the 2 cashiers were still dealing with the 'complicated' returns. Once I made my purchase, I mentioned to the cashier that the Bay must be understaffed, as it was not reasonable for me to have to wait in line for half an hour. She argued that the staffing was sufficient and that this was the way it would remain, especially now that the Christmas season was over. I think the Bay should consider competent management & sufficient training for employees in the future, that is if there's an interest in keeping regular customers like myself. Good customer service goes a long way.

Enjoy shopping here as they have nice merchandise at reasonable prices. Update: I like to call out Ernette who helped me today at the store. She was courteous and provided me excellent service.

So we buy a pair of shoes from The Bay and after two months the sole deteriorate. When we get back to return it they say it might be because of the way YOU walk. Well guys this is not my first pair of shoes but it is my first time I buy a shoe that its sole comes off after two months!

TOPSHOP employees are really nice and helpful. A few weeks ago, I went to TOPSHOP to use my birthday coupon for discount, but I didn't print it out because I thought it would work fine by just showing my email. However, the scanner couldn't read the bar code from my cellphone and the staff at the checkout asked me if I could forward the email to the other staff at the office so that she can print it out for me. I did so and the staff from the office ran to me and handed out the coupon with saying "Happy birthday!". At the end, I could use my coupon successfully and I was so satisfied with my purchase because of their excellent customer service. Thank you.

Gloomy, dated, disorganized, dusty and painfully slow service. Not a single till open on the upper level and only one till open throughout the store. Checkout took over 25 minutes. The credit card reader is worn out and required theree attempts before finally accepting my card. Other than going to the Bay for their exclusive items, there is not a single reason to go back to the Bay.
