House of Knives

I have dropped by the store several times just to stare at some of the beautiful knives and chat with the salesmen who are always super friendly and have a passion of knives that is almost infectious. I bought a knife on craigslist that, after cutting up a watermelon, wouldn't open smoothly and opened even worse after I took it apart and cleaned it. I put it back perfectly (I think) and didn't know what to do about it so I brought it into the North Van store by my work. I talked to Gordon (a very nice bearded fellow) and confessed that I didn't buy the knife from the store but needed his help. He didn't care where I bought it and helped me get it working like new again!!! Afterwards we chatted about some of the knives on display (very educational!) and I brought out my other EDC that, while wonderful to use, wont keep an edge. I also confessed to not buying this knife from them as well, but Gordon offered to sharpen it for me. He did a wonderful job and I swear it is sharper than when I bought it new. I do not remember the last time I was served so well. I will make sure that the next knife I do buy will be from them!

I was very impressed with the service I received from the bearded gentleman on duty the Saturday afternoon I dropped in. Very knowledgeable and I will return again.
