Hotel Motel Penn-Mass

I booked a room at this hotel through Expedia. I booked it and within hours, could not make it because my car broke down. I called and tried to cancel the reservation. They said they could not give a refund. They had not charged my card yet. They could have just cancelled the reservation, nothing was charged on my card until the following day. Will not recommend this hotel.

My husband and I were extremely disappointed last weekend. See attached pictures. We booked for 2 nights. We arrived at 7:30pm. A challenging check in. The lady could not speak any English & could not find our confirmation even with my printed copy. A man came and helped her out. No secure entrance to our room - just a key. After putting our luggage in the room, we went to eat and were told the kitchen closed at 8pm. We had to eat in a hurry. There was a musty smell - see the fans in the hallways - the white one was on the 1st floor. Soooo filthy. I am surprised the fan worked. Our room was on the 2nd floor. Repairs needed. See the pictures of the balcony. Balcony floor with holes- so totally unsafe and dangerous. Sticks holding up something. The silver outlet by the sink did not work. Spider webs, wall paper coming down.. No breakfast available - COVID long past. The telephone – very old. Would not recommend this place at all.

Not a bad experience but this has pros and consnnMinus :nold furniture, old tv old mattress, old curtains ,nAc was emitting odour need some maintenance.nThe corridor was dark and scary lol nNoticed some people under substance abuse on ground level.nSome areas were smellynnOther reviewers mentioned about bedbugs toonnPositive - The staff was very friendly and positive.nQuiet place , no disturbance from staff or people.nAc was working , some areas had air wick air freshener,nnI would think twice before come back but would come back if all hotels are out of room.

Very very bad experience, i never experienced any motel like this bad , we were coming from Quebec and i booked this motel week ago and i had confirmation email as well with price and all details then when I reached there they said my card was not working in there system so i have to pay them by credit card at the counter and they where try to take almost 45$ extra, i have my parents with me they are visiting canada for first time, this is their first trip as well and at 12:15 am they were denied like that the email is not sent by them, how is that possible???nnIt’s totally unprofessional and hightly not recommended this place to anyone
