Holiday Inn Express Yakima

Excellent hotel. Clean, comfortable, quiet. Great breakfast choices. Knowledgeable front desk, efficient and helpful breakfast attendant. Cold milk and warm cookies at 7. Pool, hot tubs, and fitness room open 24 hours. Free fast speed wifi. Within easy walking distance to the Convention Center and downtown.

The staff was polite. The room and furnishings were clean. I didn't get to use it, but the pool is open 24/7. The bed was terrible; Absolutely awful. I travel extensively for work, so I've seen my share of hotel beds and as far as comfort goes, it was one of the worst I've slept in. Also, I had to unplug the alarm clock and scoot the nightstand away from the wall a couple of inches in order to charge my phone (which is also my alarm clock) but the hotel-provided alarm clock that I unplugged has a backup battery, so unplugging it didn't stop it from going off at the time the prior guest had set it to. Silly me to think that if I unplugged said alarm clock I might not only be able to charge my phone close enough to hear my own alarm clock but also have a chance to get a full night's rest...Unfortunately, the latter didn't happen. But the staff was nice at check in.

This was an older holiday inn but fairly well maintained. The room was clean. The bed was firmer than most of the other holiday inns I stay at but comfortable enough. The location is close to downtown but tucked away in a quiet neighborhood so it was nice and quiet.

Continental breakfast included. Pool, fitness, and business center available 24/7. Rooms are clean and fairly large. Free wifi is available. Located close to downtown with easy freeway access.

Room was terribly stuffy. Has pool and jacuzzi, but they are not super nice. Front desk was accommodating, though, so bonus points for that.
