Front desk lady morning of check out said I could not use my credit for snacks. We stay at Hilton Garden Inns all the time and never been told this. I always use my credits on snacks .nnThe restaurant, is separate from the hotel, should ask you if you are staying there. We didn’t know if we could use the credit there. So thanks Hilton Garden Inn of Dubuque IA you got 40 dollars of credits from us. We didn’t have time to eat breakfast and the buffet didn’t have anything we could eat.nnThe one good thing about our stay is we found a trail we were able to walk down by the water sports park.nnThe restaurant was good, Danny our server was good. The food, well the asparagus has a lot of garlic. The fish was really small but the salad was good. They were very busy.nnThe toilet paper holder was under the sink not very assessable. We were room 129nnThere were no bed bugs
I often stay at Hilton properties, and this one isn’t as good as most. The front desk clerk was not welcoming at all and spoke about two words to me during check in. The room looked fine, but the bathroom had a strong urine odor, and the AC unit blew a cloud of dust and humidity into the room when I turned the fan to run position. For the cost of this room, on a weeknight nonetheless, I had higher expectations. It’s ok, but definitely not worth $200 plus per night for a basic room. The location is decent, there are walking trails behind the property, and the small adjacent casino is clean and modern.
I drove 7.5hrs to go see a concert. Watched every other person get checked in for over 2 hrs. My room wasn't ready till after 4 and 3 trips to the desk to be lied to about starting my room. Didn't have enough time to go to the restaurant we planned before the concert. Was told the manager would call my cell. He called my room instead, knowing i wasn't there. Then called me on Monday and only offered me $50 off my $750 stay. My bed was so bad you could feel every movement of your partner, shower head was garbage, outdated phones from the 1990s, and rude staff at the front desk. With one exception. The sweet gal from Chicago with the Southern accent. She was very professional. Also, for the price, you should get the breakfast buffet for free. I will never stay at another Hilton ever again!!!
Terrible. I could not sleep at all the walls are paper. I can hear everything from the outside of my room & the rooms around me. Never in all my stays at a hotels have I had this issue. I am awake at 1am because the person next to my room is too loud. Just garbage here I wish I could get a refund to go somewhere else tonight.
A bit pricy. No continental breakfast. The staff were awesome. The building seemed kind of old. The A/C was noisy. So was the elevator. The lounge area restaurant was great.
