Hotel Julien Dubuque

I enjoyed my 4 nights in this hotel. The restaurant was great as was the food. The bed was comfortable and the room was cozy. I did find a few bugs (including 1 spider) in the room. I don’t care, I’ll be back.

Lovely old restored hotel. Some of the room's walls are a little thin, as you can hear people talking clearly in other rooms while in your own room. Great ambiance, however. We will most likely request a room on the East side of the Hotel, as the street can get loud on the weekends. Cute Riverboat lounge, friendly staff. We will be back with the above requests. Dubuque is a gem that I really never knew about.

Stayed here just one night - coming home from vacation. My room had plenty of space for one and was spotlessly clean everywhere. The bed was VERY comfortable with plenty of extra pillows as I requested during my reservation. Classy touches in the decor throughout the hotel. I had no problems with noise, and loved the view out the window toward the river. WIFI worked well for me, too. Spendy stay, but was well worth it to me. I would absolutely stay here again! Loved it!

I enjoy staying here. There are a surplus of amenities for travelers; a good bar, competent restaurant, accessible spa. Rooms are clean and very well kept, with lavish square footage and many idiosyncratic little touches. Great views of the city and within walking distance of some really excellent bars, restaurants, and eateries. Highly accessible (two turns off the freeway and you've arrived). I always look forward to staying here.

Very nice and clean place to stay while visiting nearby Galena. Also there's plenty to do within walking distance of the hotel. Probably will not stay in Galena ever again after discovering Dubuque
