Dan Dan Noodle

Me and my friends started looking for restaurants in downtown at 10pm, we were literally walking and checking the reviews and ambiance of most of the restaurants that were open at that time. Lebanese/Turkish/Indian/Italian we’re in our mind to have dinner. But we were exhausted to find more places. Finally we stopped near Dan Dan Noodles. Asian was not at all in list, but we went on to try and looking at the menu we were little disappointed as we don’t eat beef/pork. There was only couple of dishes in veg and chicken. We ordered Tofu with rice and Chicken Noodle soup. Surprisingly we all loved the food. Ambiance is good and so is service. The staff patiently assisted us.

We got their signature dan dan noodles and mapo tofu with rice, and both dishes were quite authentic and tasted great! I also got the Sichuan beef noodles on another day and was not disapponted. The servers were nice too. For people who has never had Sichuan food before, the type of spiciness is quite different from your conventional spicy food. There's a tongue-numbing sensation too, so be prepared! The patrons in the table next to us were caught off guard by this. Overall, would definitely recommend!

We decided to give this place a try when we happened to pass by it. A few of their vegetarian options definitely looked interesting and we ordered those. Their service was quick but the food was okay. Most of the items we ordered were too oily. The hot & sour rice noodles were alright taste wise as I enjoyed the soup but Sichuan spicy sliced potatoes and sichuan mapo tofu were just too greasy to our liking.

It's the first time that i try Sichuan food or Chinese food at all and i had a great experience, i loved the taste of the food and that we can choose how spicy we like our food! Amazing experience.Recommended dishesMala Dry Hot Pot, Crispy Pork Noodles

stumbled onto this place walking by. the staff were very friendly and quick service. the food was excellent and generous portions - if you’re looking for a place with authentic sizhuan food - this is it! the noodles were perfect in texture and dumplings flavourful. if you can’t handle spicy, i would suggest asking for dishes with little or no spice.

I didn't expect authentic dan dan noodles but I got dan dan noodles that were so delicious I wish the restaurant were closer to where I live. The noodles were cooked to perfection and the spice was just right. It's not fancy food but it's authentic and delicious so not much more to say. I don't recommend the other dishes such as the dry pot which is not bad but not worth the price. In other words I'd recommend just going there for the dan dan noodles.

This restaurant is located on a less frequented street and customers are few, thus you may need to call the staff. However, you can expect authentic Sichuan cuisine such as their very numbing Dan Dan noodles full of Sichuan peppercorns. Dishes are tasty and affordable, recommended for quiet meals or take out.

This is an authentic Sichuan restaurant. Owner is from Sichuan. I ordered Dan Dan noodles Vegetarian. Love it! The environment is cozy. I hope they have more options for vegetarians.

Dan Dan Noodles definitely hit the spot today. I'm a big fan of Sichuan cuisine and this was a good spot to eat. We got to try all of their different wontons, their marinated noodles and beef noodle soup. Despite how it looks when you take it to go it still tastes great. Good job

Mouth-numbingly delicious Mapo Tofu! Dish was prepared with Sichuan pepper prickly ash to give it the authentic taste and sensation that you expect from this dish. Certainly a place to which you would want to return as the food is awesome! Friendly service and great location in the heart of Vancouver as well.
