Heron Guest House

Was very disappointed with this rental. Owner called 2 days before arrival to say she had double booked us and tried to cram us into a single room when we rented a 2 bedroom cabin. The property is very run down and not well maintained at all. I didn't feel safe as the doors didn't lock when you leave. Linens stunk. Not cleaned thoroughly. The ONLY thing this rental has going for it is the location and being right on the water.

loved this place. very laid back. rustic. 7 or 8 small little houses some with levels. relaxed grounds. friendly lady runs the place. not your typical resort type place. can watch Cortez ferry go back and forth right outside the bedroom window. great ocean view very different.

2 months ago, we went on a roadtrip with our family through the West-coast of Canada. Lovely country, friendly folks all over the place. All except this disaster. We encountered a double booking, so we were offered to sleep outside in a tent, at barely any discount of the "house". A few days later, after our kayak trip we eventually slept one night because we already paid, but still, it was barely a shack where you would spend the day. Dont book here, terrible house, renter Linda is even worse.

Fabulous setting, big place and a great view. Lots of rooms and handy to the local attractions. A quirky place with lots of character but not the cleanest

Just here to make money. Awful side of the island. Wish they would try harder to make the world a batter place
