Nice quiet walk on the snowy trails. Was perfect day for a walk after the snow. Park gate is closed but you can still walk into there. It's a great spot in summer as well. Lots of birds around in summer time.

Very nice trails, from beginner to intermediate. I walked the entire park yesterday and while it is very icy currently (march 7th) there were no obstacles of any difficulty. Some steepish uphill sections, some very flat very long sections, but a lot of nice scenery. Check out the Christmas trees by the pond loop!

A nice place to hike, bike, walk, XC ski or snowshoe in the winter. Heber Down is NOT a leash-free park - there is a place off Cochrane Street from Winchester for dogs but it is not part of the accessible trail area. Keep your dog on a 6 foot maximum leash and carry your doggy bags out so everyone can enjoy the trails.

Beautiful hiking trail. Its light enough to bring kids out to. There is a dog park for dog socializing. It's suggested dog owners do not bring toys into the dog park as it may cause disputes.
