Amazing and beautiful. Cameron greeted us with a friendly smile and ice cream sandwiches. Peaceful, dog-friendly, wonderful service, beautiful beach, family-friendly, and great views of the harbor. Family-owned providing service above and beyond, like filling your propane tank and delivering directly to your camp site. Liked our first week-long stay so much that we returned for two more weeks. Great place for kids and adults alike. Looking forward to our next visit.
Great location for the ferry or a ride to town for something to eat. We have bicycles and riding the roads was not a problem. Spots were a bit tight but it really wasn't an issue. We were there 3 nights and people were respectful of each other and it was nice and quiet, very relaxing atmosphere. The owners are great. Nicest reception ever. Very nice family run place. Would definately recommend.
Absolutely wonderful. We arrived without a reservation on a long weekend and the owner greeted us immediately in a very friendly manner. They were fully booked but after finding out we were self contained and would be fine without any services he told me to have a seat. He came back with two icecream sandwiches which he handed to me and asked if we could use 15 amps electricity and to follow him. When we were at our “site” and asked how much we owe him, his reply was nothing. This is definitely the best Nova Scotia hospitality and we can’t be thankful enough.
Great campsite! The owner is super friendly. Amenities are clean and the sites have everything you need. Great views and the beach is beautiful. A must stop if you are in the area. + no mosquitoes!!! Thank you for a great stay!
Nice and very friendly spot. Convent to both downtown and the PEI ferry. They have a few pay washers and dryers as well
Pulled in on a family trip. Greeted by the owner, who was very pleasant. He gave us the choice of multiple spots with the option of moving to a better spot, if one opened up. Very friendly and approachable.
I stayed here for one night at the very end of the season on my way back from Cape Breton. The campground staff were more than accommodating and helpful, and we stayed at a beautiful waterfront, full-service site. The waterfront views, evening sunset, morning sunrise from the beach were absolutely stunning, worth the trip alone! No reservations recommending the campground whether you're passing through or staying for a while.
We stayed the last night of season 2021, our first time out in our new/old motorhome. We are very inexperienced campers for sure. The personality plus owner, Cameron met us on our arrival. Then he personally took us to a lovely spot with a picnic table and a couple of chairs & a deck facing the ocean. Then shared some of his knowledge on how to set up a motorhome, he had to lend us a pair pliers as we didn’t know to bring tools. He explained all we could do on the property & to the visit the beach. He dropped in later to make sure we were settled in ok. If it wasn’t for him I’m not sure how good our night would’ve been so thank you Cameron so much for your help and assistance getting us started in camping. It’s a lovely large piece of property on the northumberland strait There is also a pool but it had been closedown for the season.. We’re hoping he’ll let us return in the spring
This was my first visit here. Nice, clean campground. Great view of the harbour, and not too far from Pictou if you forgot anything. Staff are very friendly. Seasonal campers seem to be equally as friendly. Very lively group of campers, but not loud partiers. Just lots of kids playing in the playground, and lots of people outside enjoying their summer. I didn't fish while we were here, but our camping neighbour caught a pretty large bass from the beach here, so if you're into that... I'm looking forward to our next stay here.
It's been a blessing to find this campsite. We came on a rainy evening, searching for a place to spend the night and we received a warm welcome. Great location, super cool and friendly owner.
