Jeff, the owner, is such a sweet man! He ensured that mine and my boyfriend's visit at the cottage was great. We had such an amazing visit and were extremely happy with the entire experience. Beautiful cottage, super quiet. Two of my family members have yearly RV lots at this camp ground so it was nice being close to them. I visit Nova Scotia yearly, so I will always stay here from now on. Thanks so much for everything!! I highly recommend staying here, you will be well taken care of. : Rooms: Great, clean, comfortable.
I stayed in cabin three over a few months and I loved the place. Very nice, very hardworking owner and the Korean food in the campsite restaurant is really tasty. Totally felt at home, here. Its just so completely relaxing. Thanks, Jeff for being such a good host.
Very friendly, great owners. Bathrooms could use more cleaning , the showers were filthy dirty. A spray bottle and cleaner would go a long way ! Other then that the sites were great, there was lots of trees for shade 15, 30 and 50 amp sites. I would stay again but I hope they can get the showers cleaner.
Perfect hideaway Clean, kid friendly, private campsites with fire pit. Offers playground, pool, showers, laundry. Each site is yours to respectfully enjoy Centrally located within the province. 5 mins. to historic Pictou. Stay here and enjoy...I never want to leave
Not terrible but bathroom taps need a really good scrubbing, the wood was green so we did not have a great fire and our neighbors 3 dogs barked for hours with no one walking around to see what's going on.
It's a very nice, quiet campground but still we were allowed to play our music, turned down low, and have friends who came to our campsite to visit. We took our dogs with us and had no problems but the WiFi is not very strong or stable. Still, we were able to sign on so that's a bonus. We didn't try the restaurant yet but we are going back for a couple of days this time and will definitely try it out.
Pay showers. Not cool. Takes this place down a few notches. No trees around tent sites. Yuck. Do not recommend unless you’re desperate. Had to shower at the sink
Thank you Birchwood campground yet again! This was my second visit, and have been happy each time. The campground is comfortable and welcoming and there are trees around so you're not in a wide open squared off field. Cozy with considerate campers, all seemed to respect the quiet hours to the letter. The staff were very helpful and really help to make the stay as good as it can be. Never had an issue with power or quality of water, and didn't even need to use our Brita. Will definitely be returning!
Sites are basically on top of one another. About 2 feet from next trailer Fire pit was almost on road. Site was barely wider than our van.
Worst campground I’ve ever been to. If you have kids sleeping in a tent they want you to put your kids on a different camp site. They are all about making a buck.
