Not a fan of going to the dentist & certainly not a fan of having to pay since I do not have dental coverage benefits through work. That said, what I can tell you about this dental clinic is that they take the time to show you want you need. In my case, the dentist used something called an intra-oral camera to show me the inside of my mouth and essentially what she sees that I could not. I appreciate that step because I don't like being told dental work is required based on a visual check from the dentist alone. I really liked that I could see the failing filling she saw. It created value for me and I was in agreement with her. In this way, the treatment was mutually agreed upon. When seeing a dental office I have learned the hard way that one must ask IF they follow a standard fee guide or charge above it. This is important to note when choosing a dentist because essentially without the fee guide, an office can charge whatever they want, sometimes 20-30 percent over the fee guide pricing for BC. This office uses the fee guide pricing which is awesome. The location is perfect for us downtown folks; it is literally steps from Waterfront Station. The inside of the office is beautiful, comfortable and warm staff. The assistant was nurturing enough to even escort me up from the dental chair to the front of office. Caring, gentle, fair / conservative estimates!

Was going to this dental office for about a year but now have left. Both myself and my spouse found them trying to charge us for procedures that we did not need. Initially I found them to be very professional and helpful. However, as I proceeded with options to do orthodontics, it became apparent that the way they priced their services was not clear or transparent. When I asked to do orthodontics with Invisalign, they told me it would cost $6500 after confirming that my benefits would cover 50%. I dealt with the dental hygienist the whole time, and did not receive any consultation from the dentist on the program - i.e. how it works, the treatment plan, etc. They told me they had to charge $500 to do an initial mould for my teeth to proceed. After the moulds were done, they then told me that their prices had increased since it was now 2017. There was no warning prior to doing the moulds, and there was also no explanation for the cost increase other than "our prices have gone up". The increase was for roughly $1000! When I asked for a breakdown of what services the cost covered, they said they did not provide this information. I trusted them to them professional and transparent about their services and fees. However, it wasn't until I shopped around and met my current dentist that I understand that Harbour Centre Dental wasn't open and honest about their services and fees. Various clinics that I met with after were able to explain what their services cover, how much it cost and how the cost was determined, in addition to how my treatment plan would be done. When I visited various clinics, the dentist would sit down to explain to me how the treatment would work for my particular case. Most importantly, most places charged $100 or less to do the moulds, not $500. I found three other reputable clinics in False Creek that were offered Invisalign services for $1000-$2500 less than what Harbour Centre Dental were charging, and they were much more transparent about their pricing. Not worth your time and money.

I cannot say enough about this office. I actually enjoy coming here. I have been a patient for 4 years and in that time I have consistently received nothing less than exceptional care. Dr. Shirzad is knowledgeable, detail-oriented and has an easy-going personality. Friendly staff. Beautiful office. I have referred this place to multiple colleagues, all of which have become regular patients. No hesitation in recommending.

I've been coming to this dental clinic for over 4 years now and I could not be more happy with the service and quality of work they provide. After a few rounds of past horrible dental experiences, with other clinics, I finally found Harbour Centre Dental and I will never go anywhere else! Dr. Shirzad is simply amazing at what she does and truly cares about her job. She very clearly explains to you what needs to be done and gives you the best advice on timing procedures (bonus: if you have a fear of needles like I do, she kindly hides it from your sight). Dr. Shirzard is also very good at diligently checking and double checking her own work, once the procedure is done, which I truly appreciate. I get my cleaning done by Adela the hygienist and she is hands down a superstar! I actually look forward to getting my teeth cleaned because of her, she not only does her job immaculately but goes above and beyond to teach your best practice tips. She genuinely cares and has often given me free products to use to better protect my teeth! I have learned so much from Adela and I could not be more grateful. If I could get my teeth cleaned once a week, I would! All in all, best dental centre in Vancouver by far!
