Happiness Seafood Restaurant

We went 6 months ago and everything was acceptable, timely service, decent food, prices were a bit high. I went back a few weeks ago and had one of the worst dining experiences of my life. I’m a vegetarian and explained that. The vegetarian dish had chunks of pork in it. We ordered other dishes and they weren’t as good as last time either. When I pointed it out to the server she said that it said so in the Chinese but not in the English. She did take it off the bill, but the service was extremely slow and there weren’t even very many patrons there. When it was time to pay, we paid with a $50 and was expecting $10.50 back in change, the server brought back $5.50 then escaped into the back room. So she shorted us $5. We sat for 30 minutes trying to get someone’s attention. The other staff we talked to said she was coming. Eventually we figured out the woman who was serving us was the new owner (she took over 3 weeks ago at the time) and she left the restaurant to go to the bank. We found this out and got our money, did not tip and will never go back again. Very disappointing since the first time we went was decent.

The dim sum here is the best in Surrey. Had two knock off a couple starts because: 1- staff was very rude with us wanting to order dim sum at 2:20pm. We specifically called in to ask what time they would serve it til and were told til 3:00pm. Maybe a last call advisory would have been better? 2- the prices were very high. The cost does not match the interior of the restaurant nor the service recieved.

Food is good. Portions are normal. Too pricey! 20% above average. Would rather drive the extra 15 to 20 minutes to Richmond and get better options at way better prices.

I've been coming here for dim sum since they took over from Kung Fu chef. I've never been disappointed with their dim sum. Portions are fairly large, and everything taste fresh. Service has always been great. Only complaint are their prices. It's almost as much as some of the high end dim sum places you would find elsewhere. come early or have reservations or else be prepare to wait

Food was excellent, i ordered online and it was perfect..i also had skip the dish deliver as i am farther away and they did it fast...ill totally order from here again
