I recently had a accident at Ski Martoc which resulted in a shoulder dislocation. I was taken to your location where within a few minutes I was seen, assessed, x-rayed, problem addressed, follow up addressed and sent on my way. Every individual I came in contact with, from the receptionist, technicians, and nurses to the doctor were efficient, professional and empathic. My sincerest thanks! The comment from the orthopaedic surgeon I saw was, "I love it when things are done right". I couldn't have said it better myself.

I have never in my life been treated less then a dog at an emerg. facility, like i was Mar. 8th, 2018 at this location. i have never been so degraded cause i couldn't breath which made it extremely difficult to walk. i have never meant this nurse in my life but i was judged and immediately hated. why i don't know. i never knew her. she did not want to deal with an emerg. and wanted me in the waiting room. she kept trying to get my blood pressure and could not cause i was hyperventilating cause i couldn't breath and had severe chest pain. at one time while she was trying to get my blood pressure i asked why it didn't feel right and she said, well, its up to 270. i didn't understand what that meant. i do now because i have a bruise cause it was so tight. i can barely use my arm and i didn't have any prob's with my arm upon arrival. i require immediate assistance at ur hospital and asked my daughter to get me a wheel chair cause i couldn't walk. no air in one lung. the next day i was diagnosed with Phenomena and a chest infection by my family doctor. i still can't walk. its a challenge to eat, breath, bathe, walk or easy life skills. my road will now be a bit longer because now ur part of my healing and i have more challenges because of the nurse, now. But ur nurse took it one step further. she spoke with the EMS team of her personal feelings and judgments of a patient that she has never seen, that was at the hospital and trickled over to the doctor and the secretary's office, that called for an ambulance twice in 20 mins. (medical clinic behind the hospital). the EMS lady yelled at the secretary that "the reason why our health care system is like it is, is because of ppl like her (me) and continued to degrade. i was ridicules. over-reacting and i was a waste of an ambulance. the secretary told the lady i was passing out and the lady said i highly doubt that. i could barely get up off the floor but i did. the EMS lady continued to engage in conformation with my 14 yr. old daughter. she would not stop. told her how disrespectful she was cause she was very scared for her mother and just wanted help. i then told the gentleman that was with her. if u can get her to keep her comments to herself, i will get on that gurney. the lady then, looked past me, around my face, to engage again with my daughter. she seemed like she wanted to fight my daughter the straight time. what did that nurse say to this lady for me to b treated in such manner. the the paramedic lady threatened to call the police and report we were violent. i had all i could do to get out of there and lay in my van so i could drive the hour drive home that normally took 20 mins. my left arm pained so bad i couldn't use it to drive from the blood pressure cup. Because of ur nurse's choices, she put everything into motion. she was the cause of it all. that night i thought i was gonna die. i sit awake all night and thought i was gonna kill myself my arm and chest hurt so bad. i'm still not out of the woods. this will b a long time of antibiotics and steroids. i have never felt like killing myself before and i will never come to ur hospital where i will feel like that again. i'm a 50 yr. old woman that wanted to take her life for the first time and i never want to again. i would like to speak with someone. i would like a formal complaint laid. if anyone on here can help me, pls give me a chance. this is morally wrong. the nurse should b dismissed or retrained for emerg. i also have pictures of the bruise she put on my arm. she should not b a nurse. she almost killed me. my name is Tamela Hebb and i want action. this was wrong on so many many levels. i seen pigs treated better.

Awesome care, personal feeling, knowledgeable staff, superior to larger hospitals, no overcrowded feeling, or understaffed impressions.

Sat in the emergency room for over 6 hours after coming in with heavy chest pain and both arms completely numb.. after about 4 hours of patiently waiting in a slim-to non-existent line up I fell asleep in the waiting room and was woken up when my GF arrived, not by staff. Waited until almost midnight but by then I was feeling well enough so left to go to the Kentville hospital.

I recently visited a patient at this hospital. When looking for assistance to find the room I was looking for found wonderful assistance from all staff. (from the cleaning staff, receptionists and nurses). They had a positive, welcoming attitude and were most helpful. I was impressed with everyone's willingness to find the person I was looking for. It certainly has a feeling of community working together.
