The Canadian Mental Health Association promotes mental health for all, serving mental health consumers, their families and friends. CMHA is the only national voluntary organization that addresses itself to the needs of the mentally ill, to the prevention of mental illness and to the promotion of mental health. Founded in 1916 The Canadian Mental Health Association now provides services to more than 100,000 Canadians through the efforts of over 10,000 volunteers and staff.
The Canadian Mental Health Association Colchester East Hants Branch, a voluntary organization, promotes the mental health of all and supports the resilience and recovery of people experiencing mental illness.

Strengthening the capacity of individuals, families, professionals, organizations, and communities to address mental health needs.

Influencing the design and implementation of policies and services related to mental health.
Providing services
Providing services and supports that maintain and improve mental health and community integration, build resilience and support recovery from mental illness.
Developing resources
Building the financial and human resources and partnerships required to address mental health needs.
