This experience at the ER was vile. I fell and had a tbi with loc, witnessed by numerous people, also with a freely bleeding laceration. I came to this ER at 4pm. I was triaged as "laceration". The fact that I had a tbi and a witnessed period of unconsciousness was ignored!! I waited 9 HOURS to be seen after a HEAD INJURY. What the hell is wrong with these people? My head was bleeding and throbbing for 9 HOURS in that waiting room. Staff were rude and many reeked of cigarettes. Patient information was easily seen all over the place. I could see my own xrays from the waiting room. I saw the triage screen with every waiting room patient's name and personal health info as i was getting an EKG and blood draw. The worst part was, after 9 hours waiting to be seen for my head injury and bleeding cut, I became fed up with the pain and confusion and rude staff and demanded to know what was going on. The head nurse, an extreme rude blonde woman, called security right away and WANTED ME TO LEAVE. She then wanted the police called. Again, this is after a 9 HOUR WAIT for treatment after a witnessed tbi with loc and bleeding head wound. What kind of hospital wants someone with a witnessed head injury to leave and/or to be arrested? This hospital does. Had i been thinking, I would have certainty gotten that nurse's name because she needs to GO and possibly be sued. Avoid this disaster of a hospital at all costs.

Waited for 12 hours before I got to see a doctor (I'm 15 btw), I went in with extreme chest pain (with a history of extreme chest pain before). After 3 hours I was given a blood test and and EKG but only after constant begging. Doctor told me that if I had been a medical anomaly and had a heart attack (which is super duper uncommen for my age but still) I would probably been dead or almost dead by the time I got to see him. Would not recommend.

Im not going to blame the hospital becuase its our government at fault here the only reason why i like Metropolitain ver Hotel Dieu is becuase its newer. but either way you still wait over 7 hours to see anyone in emergency. i watch a woman who is clearly having issues laying on the cold hard tiled floor with sever stomach pains, vomitting bloody mess all over the place and she was still in the emergency room for 10 hours later when i was leaving... this isnt right not once did i see a nurse or even triage offer any support for this woman... our healthcare is free for a reason its becuase when we need it youll be dead like that guy in the corner a few years ago they come to call him.... bamo expired! good job trudeau... also one more thing dont bother going to the hospital after 7 one on doctor in the emergency till 7 am your better off staying at home to suffer in peace

ER visit: Doc was super but getting to her was a truly sad journey. Hours of watching ill people treated like cattle. Compassion was completely unknown to most of these employees. Their method of "signing in" patients was third world as people actually stood up and moved down one chair as the first person in line went to Triage - some people were too ill to be doing that. Patients on stretchers and the elderly in wheelchairs left without attention. I'm angry and sad at the state of this ER.
