Hanaya Japanese Restaurant

It’s a nice little restaurant but with a huge menu! So many sushi rolls to choose from on the menu but we went to share a house roll, a black dragon roll, a giant yam roll and a BC roll. They were very good and served fresh and warm. I have had better BC rolls in Vancouver but I’m pretty picky. Service was very good and the cleanliness of the facility was spotless. I have never seen such a clean restaurant. I would recommend a visit for those in the south Surrey area. see my other reviews for my best choice for sushi in Vancouver and north Vancouver.

Cute little Japanese restaurant. Absolutely delicious sushi - highly recommend the crunchy California rolls. Great service. We were seated straight away. Cute interior with an authentic Japanese feel. There was pictures of previous diners covering all of the walls. Liked that they give you free tea on arrival - really appreciated that as it warmed me up. Also give free refills on the tea. Got free miso soup with our mains which was delicious. Sushi was massive so I was full up before my mains arrived, but I did try a bit and it was very tasty. Would definitely eat here again.

Thank you Hanaya for the delicious sushi. I ordered yesterday night as user name Peter. It took a while but everything was beautiful. The chicken roll with black rice was delicious. The avocado roll was amazing. You can trust them when you order online. They will not skimp on the filling. Highly recommend.

Asked for no avacado on the roll and they took it out of the inside but still put it on top... Kind of defeats the purpose. Generally food was pretty bland and meh. Feel like it's catered to people in the area. Only saving grace was the customer service.

Tried it out as it has a pretty high rating. Not bad but sushi rolls were stuffed with rice rather than filling. Not saying it's bad since they are giving alot of rice which fills you up, just not what I'm looking for in a normal roll. The sashimi and chopped scallops were pretty fresh though just... Extremely little of them lol

Had delivery from Hanaya a couple times and have been overall impressed with the quality. The portions are quite large and the fish is very fresh. The only downside is the orders do take longer than average, but the quality makes up for it! The decor is also lovely and the staff are very nice and attentive.

I have been going to Hanaya for 15 years and it is still my favourite sushi restaurant. So fresh and yummy! Huge menu! Fun atmosphere, with photos of their customers on the wall. There’s picture of my husband and I when we were dating. Now we show the kids. Fun.

Great restaurant with great vibes. Nice clean and beautifully decorated. Great place to take a date or go out with friends. Ramen is pretty good for what you can get around the area. Nice rich broth and tender noodles that were cooked to perfection. Meat is seared and smells and tastes amazing. But seared nigiri is a must try! I usually order one of everything on the seared nigiri section. It is amazing. Melts in your mouth and burst with flavors. 5/5 Customer service 5/5 Food 5/5 Decor 5/5 Atmosphere Great place.

We went for dinner here on a Sunday night. It was our first time, and I have to say, everything was exceptional. I've had better boutique sushi naturally, but if you're looking for a valuable and delicious sushi dinner, this is the place to go. Great atmosphere, tasty food, and phenomenal service. Bravo. Oh, and be sure to get your picture taken for their wall display. The wallpaper in the restaurant is lined with thousands of pictures of people who have dined there. Pretty awesome to see.

Sushi is so good. Love their lunch specials. I usually attached photos, but I was so hungry didn’t take pictures. Will definitely go back
