The hotel is conveniently located, the walk along the harbour front is nice with a lot to see and do for the family. The room is clean overall and the beds are comfy, pretty standard for what it is.nService is great, the desk was helpful on last minute requests and provided useful advises on our itinerary. The hotel is indeed a bit aged and noisy but otherwise overall a good experience.
The room was clean and very quiet. Bed was reasonably comfortable and the people we spoke to checking in and checking out or lovely. And so for them I feel bad that I had to give the service only a three, I'll explain why in a second, and I gave the place an overall too because it's just staggering what's missing. We went to attend a show and we wanted to enjoy ourselves so we booked the room rather than trying to drive or get cabs or whatever later. I was traveling with my service dog and that was all really good like I said the individuals we dealt with that way were really lovely but typically it takes one person to spoil it all right?nnThe Marriott Hotel suffers from some apparent disease that has Afflicted the bulk of downtown Waterfront area. Apparently despite it being 2024 and the city having a significant number of residents and visitors from all over the world, if you're a vegan you'd starve to death. In an establishment the size of the Marriott it's just not acceptable anymore. So we called down to the desk to ask about vegan options and they put us through to the food and beverage manager who promptly told me that oh yeah there's some vegan options you can have the seafood chowder. Um.. Seafood is still dead animals so that's not vegan.. so his suggestion that for my main meal of the day? I could just have some kettle chips. So imagine paying $300 for a place to sleep and they essentially tell you you can have some potato chips to eat as a meal. If they didn't have any vegan or vegetarian options one would think a kitchen of that size could have made me something. It is really super easy to keep some tofu on hand and you can do amazing things with tofu. Like it literally cost like $2.50 for a small pack of tofu... and there are tons of vegan products that are frozen... I mean they can buy TVP in bulk, which is dirt cheap and dried, and then just add it to a pasta sauce until tender... it'll come out like having ground chicken in it. There's a ton of things they could do but they didn't offer... they didn't try. If they can't offer guests anything reasonable to eat I think they should have to rectify that by making or ordering something. I mean who would ever think they wouldn't have any options at all? They had us as a captive audience... we chose the hotel so that we could stay IN the hotel. The casino is no better. But again the rest of the staff were really quite lovely and helpful.
The room was comfortable and clean. The hotel is showing its age a bit and the pool deck needs a good cleaning. The drain outside our poolside room was clogged with hair and debris and it looked like the pool area hadn’t had a thorough cleaning in a while. The staff was friendly and the location is convenient for downtown activities.
Perfect location right on the Harbour. We stayed late October 2024 and enjoyed our stay. We had a corner room, 401, with an amazing view of our Harbour.nnOur room attendant Raja was very pleasant and kept our room clean every day. Staff at the restaurant on the main level and front desk are very attentive.nnGood gym and large warm pool. They also have a large patio facing the Harbour with fire tables.nnThe location is second to none.
Room is clean and modern looking. The bed and pillow is a little soft but still ok. Front desk staff are very polite and welcoming. The location of the hotel is a walking distance to restaurants nearby, about 15 minutes walk.nMy overall experience is positive with this hotel, I will most likely choosing Marriott Harbourfront Hotel in future visit.
