Wonderful stay at Hotel Halifax. Our room had the King size bed, medium firm. I recommend everyone sleep on a bed like that when away from home. We had the best sleep. I highly recommend booking your next trip here. I also want to appreciate the filtered water stations on each floor. They're very helpful and located near every elevator on each floor. The hotel is situated in an urban environment and perfectly connected to the mall food court and Enterprise Car Rental in the mall, and only just steps away. Very convenient for travelers not wanting to walk around the city with their suitcases looking for car hires.
My partner and I stayed for 4 nights and we are so happy with our experience! Upon check-in, we were upgraded for free to a nicer room with a living room area and a king bed booked a small queen room. Parking was easily accessible right beside the hotel. The beds and pillows were super comfortable - the best at any hotel I’ve stayed at! We loved the water bottle refill stations on every floor! The front desk staff gave us a map to follow on how to get in and out of the hotel since with all the construction, you can’t walk through the front doors, you have to go through the Scotia square mall and through a series of tunnels and escalators if you’re travelling on foot. Though a long walk, it was fun to walk through the mall and other hotels and buildings via tunnels to get to the street. What an adventure! We would definitely recommend this hotel to our friends
The rooms are very basic. We stayed in 613. Our toilet was always running and wouldn’t flush properly. There was a huge crack in the tile on the shower, and the shower had stained marks from the shower mat that were permanently there. The carpet had stains and the bed squeaked like crazy. But they had a nice big smart tv that you could cast too and the windows were big and nice.nnThe hotel staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and were quick and efficient. And the location is great for walking distance trips down town.
Housekeeping workers doing bad jobs. Shower with hair ‍‍‍‍. Dirty duvet and pillows….. room smell bad, I think it was perfume from another guest. it was not clean.nnPool good. Front desk good. Kitchen delicious
I imagine this was once a great spot. It's large and the lobby, bar, restaurant and washrooms are laid out well. The room was laid out well too but the carpet was old and the toilet didn't flush fully. Hot water was good.nnWe didn't eat at the hotel but had drinks at the bar nightly. The bar is nice enough but the staff aren't friendly and asking for water seemed to offend one bartender. I did see that the bar was also serving the dining room and private parties so maybe it was stress. But management should address this.nnThe location would normally be fantastic but when we were there, there was a massive construction project adjacent to it. It was difficult to get in and out of the hotel as you have to walk through a mall. If the mall was closed at night you had to enter across the street, take a walkway to the mall to the hotel.nnConstruction was noisy in the morning, the view was a hole in the ground, and rodents were in the mall and hotel.nnAll things considered the hotel had a lot of bad luck. But there was no consideration for all the craziness.
