Halibut House Fish & Chips

Service is a hit or miss here. Can be great one time and lousy another. Considering it is a bit on the pricy side sometimes, service should be great always. Great food though.

Service was lousy. Our waitress was not on the ball tonight. She forgot several items that we had adjusted with our order. The food was mediocre, not at all like it used to be! The fish was over cooked and our plated sat on the counter for several minutes before the 1 waitress working on a Saturday night actually brought it to us. Our food was cooled off and she forgot to put in an order for onion rings. So we waited another 10 minutes for that. $126 for 4 people, I would have liked better service. Also we had to wipe our table before we sat down..... I'm not a complainer by any means but tonight was ridiculous.... Food portions were excellent size though.

I love this place. This is my go-to place for Sunday brunch. Food always looks and tastes fresh. Their battered fish is just the right consistency for me and I have never had things taste like stale oil, or fishy-tasting like some other places. Portions are generous and pricing reasonable. I commonly order their lunch special and their greek salad. Their fries are great. My only comment is that they have all the standard menu items but don't have any special/unique offerings. Would really kick things up a notch with some creative specialty offering.
