H-Mart Coquitlam

Coquitlam's H-Mart is a convenient grocery trip. Large, organized, clean with friendly staff. Also has a bakery, cafe/drinks shop and a hot foods area. Check out the deals on the weekly flyer. Free parking lot and handicap accessible spaces.

Clean place. Great selection for Asian groceries, produce is always fresh, plus they have a nice cafeteria and also a wide variety pre-made side dishes/snacks and dishes. Gave the sushi a try this time and it did the job! Rice was not gooey or hard which is usually the problem from getting grocery store sushi. So that in itself I was impressed.

I generally have no problems with this H-Mart but I bought sushi for $11 and it was the worst sushi I've ever eaten. The rice was so cold and hard. I only ate the fish and avocado.

Best place to go for Beef short ribs and Kim chi.nnThe Kim chu is made from scratch in store with no preservatives.nI highly recommend it. They have many types of Korean pickles as well.nnGreat produce and seafood selection as well.nDumplings , gyozas and other frozen pre-made stuff.nAsian dishes, cook ware, rice cookers you name it! Best H mart in lower mainland right here!!

Generally loving this store as there are so many food selections. I find it well organized and the produce are fresh. Previously, the staff are great, from the food section to the checkout counter, however yesterday afternoon, the staff was so RUDE to us as if she make us feel stupid. She ask if we have membership but when I am about to give our phone number, she told us with an attitude to tap it. I was so shocked to the point that I wasn't thinking and ask where should I tap. She answered back unpolitely, showing where and make me feel stupid. My husband and I looked with surprise as this was our first time to be treated with disgust. To that young lady, learn proper customer service and don't throw a fit.
