Guilin Cuisine

This place use to be a more run down looking but still busy congee place, I guess they’re trying to re do the business, it’s image, as well as focus on noodle dishes. I ordered noodle soup #3 and my dad ordered congee, bbq pork and rice roll dough stick. Food came really quickly and I was surprised with how much came with my order there aren’t any pictures on their menus. It came with a WHOLE tea egg, lean beef brisket, some kind of tofu noodles, and pickled cabbage. The broth was lacking a bit of salt or taste which is fine because they have salt to the side. $12 for the bowl is not bad, I was not able to finnish the whole thing at all because of all of the noodles. My dad said the congee was alright. The rice dough roll was very good, as we were able to add as much peanut sauce, hoisin sauce and sesame seeds as we’d like. The bbq pork at first was quite skimpy BUT then a sever apologized that they had given us a small amount and gave us a nice plate of pork in addition. I’d like to come back again and try more things on their menu :D

Tried #2 and #3 on the menu. Soup is normal, its good but nothing special; The pork has crispy skin so that was a suprise; noodle is good but again nothing made it stand out; a lot of different vegetables in the soup so thats good. Interior has some style, but all the style combine together is kind of weird. What take away 1 of the star is the "cigarette smell" coming from the back. Who knows if is someone open the back door with people smoking outside or the kitchen did. It was unpleasant.

Another authentic restaurant, it's "Guilin noodle" style. Rich flavor soup and large portion noodle but it may not be everyone's dish.

Awesome awesome guangxi cuisine, if u want to try the best rice noodle, this is the best place to go!

We had three bowls of noodles here, one with Hunan sour beans, one sour preserved veggies with beef, one Lao You Fen old friend noodle? names are approx. I loved it. The only complaint we had at the time was one noodle came whose soup wasn't hot enough. For noodles you definitely need hot soup, but we told the kitchen and they gave us some more soup on the house. The Lao You Fen is the tastiest, those sour bamboo shoots are DELICIOUS and the meat is very tender. Idk why a rater before me said it was dirty?? The place is literally so fresh constructed that even the bathroom doorways are fresh painted lol. Not even remotely gross. Very affordable and tasty, service was quick and concise. I'll go back again and take pictures next time, just wolfed down the noodles. Edit: I saw the menu, we had #4, #7, and #8. #7 was the fan favourite

You go to the Chinese restaurants not for the service, you go for the food. But the food was not good. The only positive side was the large portion. There is a weird smell when you walk into the restaurant. The service was beyond horrible. They were rude and unhelpful. Someone at our table had peanut allergies and they were unsymamatheic. Cash and debit only They do not split bills if it is not cash

Food was ok as the old Freita King. Decor was certainly greatly upgraded. Strange they don‘t have tea. For Chinese clientel really. Lucky we have our own tea bag. There is something wrong with the ventilation. The air smell like bathroom. May be the vent wasn‘t connected properly. I hope they read this and improve. We like the plaza as we can have early breakfast and do shopping for food in one plaza.

This place will go broke before I ever return. My wife chose this place because it was the original Chinese fritter place and we thought it can’t be bad. We were wrong. I told my wife she had a poor choice and we got into a serious fight over that too.

I am from Nanning, Guangxi. These noodles taste exactly as the same as Nanning. Nice ‼‼‼

Decent food but I would say compared to aggregate restaurant prices nearby, the food here is overpriced by ~2$ per item
