Do you love Spicy, warm, food that is full of flavour? Then you have to check out this spot. They specialize in sichuan food and Mala pots! They are a chain, but I visited one of their newer location in Mississauga, it was pretty busy and I can see why. I used the SwingBy App for their 15% deal combo. I chose: Sichaun Pickled Flavoured Tilapia Broth soup classic fried rice stir-fry beef kungpao chicken No joke, the soup is massive, it is not just pieces of tilapia but a whole fish in the soup. This combo can easily feed 4 people so I think it was worth it and perfect for sharing with a group of friends. Food was good, One star taken off because I don’t like the one use plastic utensils and containers they use to eat. As it is dine-in I would have much prefer real utensils and dishes.
A very good Szechuan restaurant, might be ranked top 3 Szechuan restaurants in Mississauga. Maybe because of pandemic, we are still using one time bowl/chopsticks/spoon.
This place is so good The food is phenomenal: get their stir fried clams and their sichuan style bullfrog—both are super tasty and so addictive. We love the pea sprouts and the fish as well, but I think you really can’t go wrong with anything at this place. All the dishes are generally spicy and numbing, so order some steamed rice and bingfen to cut the spice! Their ordering system is through QR code and there are some dishes that are in Chinese characters, but ask the staff and I’m sure they would be willing to help. Our workaround is usually just copy and pasting the dish name on google and looking up the images lol Also, the staff are sooo sooo nice. I brought my baby and he was crying and they gave him a toy and even put on Baby Shark over the speakers. Completely of their own volition! Water was replenished promptly, the food came out super quickly, and they were so accommodating in seating us where it would be best for the baby. Seriously, I don’t want to gatekeep such a gem so visit them soon!!!
Good foods but personally, I don’t really like the restaurant serves by recycle spoon, bowl and water cup. It made from cheap and unhealthy plastic. I lost interesting to eat. Also, a young lady staff did not good service as she threw chopsticks on the table, not gently

The food is delicious, authentic Szechuan cuisine and it is spicy. Price is reasonable and it comes with a big portion. Love the BBQ fish and cold crystal jelly dessert.
What a pleasent surprise! Tired of always eating canadian chinese fast food, me and my partner decided to go for something authentic. Friends of ours told us to check out "Hotopia". The food met our expectations and being spicy lovers it was very satisfactory, paired with a few drinks, I dare say it doesnt get better than this! However the big and unexpected surprise was...... THE SERVICE! what a relief! Truly above expectations. We had the pleasure of being served by a young gentleman with a leaf necklace, who treated us as true guests as if we were welcomed into someones home. Very professional, polite, attentive and courteous. Being served properly by this young gentleman was the highlight of our dining experience. Excellent service makes all of the difference! The food was good but the service is our reason to return to hotopia for the next occasion. Thank you for the experience. Sad to see today they are closed were hoping to come this evening, anyway looking forward to next time.
Me and my friend were craving Szechuan food and found Hotopia just opened in this area. We decided to give it shot, and ordered Sichuan Pickle Flavoured Fish Soup and Squid Tentacles for takeout. Large portion, enough for 2 people to share. The food is delicious. One of the best Szechuan restaurants in GTA. The place is still under renovation, definitely will go back again.
