Great Dane Pub & Brewing Co. - Hilldale

Kind of incredible that for such a huge menu, they do many things really well. Hard to go wrong with the easier choices, like their burgers, though. Their kettle chips are amazing; thick cut and fresh.

We went to the Sunday Breakfast Buffet at this location. It's the first we've heard of the event, but we were glad we did. Reasonably priced, there was a lot of options to choose from. You tell them you want the buffet, grab a plate and fill your plate full of great food! The best tasting items were the cheesy potatoes, breakfast steak that they cut fresh for you and the Tomato Bisque soup. Don't get me wrong. All other items tasted good, but the ones that stood out were those three. I would highly recommend trying this buffet if you get a chance. Other than the Sunday Buffet, the seating and service was great. Friendly and fast.

Very good food. Lots of good drunk choices. I like the Pecks Pilsner beer. Food is typical Midwestern fare - top of the coronary hit list. Very tasty and huge portions. One of my favorite places to eat in Madison when I come to visit my son and his family. If I lived here I would be a regular and I would weigh 300+ pounds. Need a good cardiologist if you live here

Can't possibly say enough good things about this place. Food is awesome, beer is great, and the service is indescribably good. Highly recommended.
