Great Dane Coffee

Just moved into the area about 6 months ago. On the morning I was moving into my place, I was absolutely starving after a 28-hour drive into the city. It was 20mins before the cafe was open, and when I walked up to check their hours the owner came to greet me at the door. She was so lovely and invited me into to order a few minutes before they opened. I ordered a fresh buttered croissant and a couple coffee to go. This was the best croissant I've ever had! Yesterday, I revisited the cafe to try their Jeremy sandwich and a a specialty coffee. Yet again, the food was delicious and I would highly recommend it. I must say that it was the most welcoming way to start my adventure here in Vancouver, thank you for the great service!

Great Dane was pretty okay! I ordered the matcha latte and a chocolate chip cookie! The service was great and kind and the cookie was decent but the latte itself felt as if it was lacking some substance.

Small place hidden gem at the campus. Sadly I found this place in my last year of UBC. I found for their Jeremy Sandwiches! Super good focaccia served with salami and balsamic dressing. Portion is large but I can eat them all in one sitting cuz they r so good.

was kind of hard to find since they’re building apartments right in front so follow the signs and trust the process because i had the best brownie here that i’ve ever had in my life. the kind that is extra fudgy and chewy. heard their sandwiches and coffee is good too. wouldn’t recommend going during busy hours since it’s a quaint place and fills up fast. must be worth the hype i guess

This beautiful cafe is highly suggested if you ever decide to staycation or study at UBC. It is a pet-friendly cafe and offers quality products of fresh sandwiches, espressos, delicious homemade pastries [ with options of gluten-free], and spacious atmosphere with an outdoor fireplace! The staff were so welcoming, friendly, and excellent counter-costumer service. Their business hours may not meet your needs nor expectations but they'll be opening early and close late once school starts in September.

Great Dane Coffee shop located towards the north side of UBC campus. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Pretty good quality coffee, the price is definitely reasonable. Highly recommended! Keep it up guys.

The best coffee and breakfast sandwiches on campus. The breakfast sandwich is made with with Canadian bacon and is on their house made focaccia bread and I stg I’m still salivating thinking about it. The staff are also so kind and hardworking. The vibe in there is honestly so adorable. Also super reasonable prices considering its on campus. Could not recommend it more. Also ample seating mostly outdoors.

The cafe space is nice and there are good gluten-free options. However, my hot chocolate literally tasted like leftover eater at the bottom of a carafe, and $6 seemed like a lot to pay for that! The cashier was also not one of the nicest -- she seemed like she'd rather not be there, though the barista was fine.

Great coffee, even better vibes. People that work here are awesome and chill no matter how busy it gets. They make their own gluten free oat milk AND baked goods. My favorites are their GF, DF muffins. Enjoy a high-top inside or sit outside by the fireplace or heated patio. Sometimes I even debate coming here when I’m not on-campus… Sooooo good!
