First time trying this place and it’s now our favourite Italian restaurant. Service for food was REALLY long 1+ hour because there was a large group that evening but the waitress and owner came by our table multiple times and were apologetic about the situation. The food definitely made up for the wait though. Price was fair and every dish we tried were so, so delicious. Highly, 100% recommend and we will be back!
Pasta and food here is no doubt amazing. The risotto was cooked al dente which I've never had it like this before - it was to die for! However, this restaurant was severely understaffed. Our reservation was for 7pm. We got our first food dish/Caprese salad at 7:54pm. My dish was not as advertised. I ordered the Risotto con Fruiti Di Mare which was supposed to come with Shrimp, Scallop, Mussels and featured fish. When my dish came out I only got the shrimp and scallop as per the picture posted. The food here is reasonably priced and I would like to try this place out again.
Best Italian in Calgary, stunningly plated and flavourful, fresh seafood and produce take every dish to a different level. Fantastic service. Very friendly and accomodating staff. The owner is incredibly kind and social, a very charming man. Our new favorite restaurant. Can't recommend enough, you won't be disappointed.
No doubt very good, it's the sauce that make the dish. We were there Saturday night and the place was packed. The only downside was one of the employees called in sick and that left one poor new employee all by herself so the wait for things was longer than usual. Will still go back!
We went to 4th street looking for somewhere new, somewhere we'd never been. We found a place we'd never been, but inside was nothing new. Grande Amore carries the evening with the old. Old world charm, old world dishes, even the proprietor could be seen as, well, old. But this old is the kind that fill a conversation with wisdom, and a room with scents I haven't experienced since the bistecca of Firenze. We share bruschetta which was incredibly light, the perfect amount of acidity, and an olive oil that was to die for. After this I challenge my date to indulge in the gorgonzola cream gnocchi. She doesn't typically eat blue cheese but is a willing participant in the dish. Good choice. The sauce is rich as any white sauce should be, with just a hint of gorgonzola, it's masterfully used and a wonderful diving board for beginners. Our third round is the salmon on risotto, we share a plate and regret it. Its so succulent, moist and flavourful that we each wish we'd had a whole plate. The outside of the salmon crisp and drizzled with a thick, aged and sweet balsamic. The inside moist and cooked perfectly to medium. To finish we share the in house made tiramissou, my date insists we take the sauce home for other activities. We laugh, and I wish she was kidding. Dino, we wish you nothing but success. Your food is great, ambience sublime, and you are a wonderful and charming host. My Italian on the otherhand is sub par, Arrivederci, the best I can give until next time!
This is sure to become a new neighbourhood classic in no time! This beautiful new spot in the heart of Mission has all the right ingredients... The owner and server were both delightful and attentive, but more importantly to me, authentic and sincere. And the food! delicious through and through, one of very times I did not add any spices! And the prices are very reasonable. I'll be back, again and again. So much for losing that covid weight! Amazing for a date or catching up with friends.

I love their food! Hands down best pasta at yyc calgary. The overall atmosphere is very quiet and romantic With minimal designs. The food is amazing, with great portions and very reasonable prices. Will definitely come again, I can’t wait !
Fantastic place! I was surprised how good the prices are and the food is some of the best Italian I have had. Definitely worth checking out! I ate my entrée too quick for a picture, bit of spice, bit of sweetness, perfect.
I have literally no complaints here. Ambience was good and the service was amazing. The bruschetta was amazingly delicious and of course the pasta, I got the Penne Rigate and it was sooooooo good! You gotta try it. It satisfied my cravings.
