What a gem this restaurant was. Took my staff here for dinner and ordered many different dishes and they were all so good. I would say this is one of the best and top restaurant for fine dining in Calgary. Will 1000% return the next time I am here for business. Our waitress Nikki was very amazing and the service here is top notch. Thank you Luca for such a wonderful night.
Hands-down, one of the most beautiful restaurants in downtown Calgary. I am absolutely in love with the ambiance here. It’s a really wonderful mix of fine dining with reasonable pricing. And the VIP service!!! Wow I really felt like a respected customer here, this is what gets people coming back. You can tell the owners of the building along with the other restaurants in the building took their time to really create an experience for us customers which is very appreciated seeing the other reviews. The service was wonderful, the presentation of the food was beautiful and the music was just loud enough that you could hear and enjoy it, but not so loud that it would disrupt your conversation. I really felt like I was in another city for the hour or so I was there which felt like minutes since I found the time passed fast of course good company helps. Perfect spot for a girls night out, a date or other special occasion. Also nice for gabbing drinks or even more formal meetings for business purposes and the likes. Restaurants like these are what make downtown worth its price. I genuinely feel this restaurant has transformed the standard in downtown Calgary. It really feels like this city is growing in a good way : Downtown definitely needs more of this! Thank you LUCA!!
LUCA you have absolutely outdone yourself and have left such a fantastic mark in the City of Calgary. Where do I even begin? We went here for our 1 year wedding anniversary and were greeted with the highest customer service and the most friendly personalities. We were given complimentary drinks to begin for our anniversary dinner. The bread basket was another lovely surprise as the quality of the bread was superb and I'm obsessed with the complimentary shallot butter. Our appetizers were great recommendations from our server Nikki and so were our main dishes. I'm a big mushroom fan and these dishes hit the spot. My husband loves the chicken and said he would go back just for this dish. The tiramisu dessert is by far the best we've had and we've travelled all over the world ordering this dish. Thanks to the chef for designing such a delicious menu and the portion sizes are great. Huge compliments to all the amazing staff who greeted us, served our food and even opened doors. So much kindness and we will not forget this experience. We immediately booked reservations for November already when our family is in town as this place books up fast. But we will for sure be back before then.
From entry to entree to dessert, Luca does not fail to impress! We had Sylvie as a server and she gave excellent suggestions all night long, a wonderful experience as a server, she had us laughing all night. I had the lamb and lobster risotto, with the bombolinni for dessert. It is truly difficult to pick a favorite course, each one was uniquely incredible, though the lobster was quite stand out, perfectly cooked, supple and tender, creamy as butter. My only regret is that I hadn't come here sooner!
The food here was cooked perfectly and with just the right amount of flavouring. I quite enjoyed the open kitchen, definitely hands down to the people cooking for handling having a constant audience so well. Service was fantastic, our server was super nice and accommodating. The restaurant has an interesting little market at the front where the items seem super fresh, I have yet to try and judge. They apparently also has a pizza place and cocktail bar attached. I would definitely come back for the restaurant and try out the cocktails bar as well.
I loved everything here. The food was good, the service was great and the ambiance was beautiful. If I have to be really critical, I wish there are more space between tables. It does feel tight to your next table that I can touch them. Otherwise, I think they are well rounded overall. One thing I'm also very happy about here is the underground parking, which has direct access into the building. It feels like a treat on a cold night.
Beautiful ambiance and a gorgeous restaurant. Service was superb and food amazing. Just didn’t like the tiramisu didn’t even get a hint of coffee or liquor in it and Way too dry. Calamari was the best I have ever had. The fettuccine was amazing. Roasted chicken was delicious but the veggies or rather 1 carrot chopped up in 5 pieces was sad. I still enjoyed the dinner and would definitely visit again.
Food, service, ambiance... everything amazing. You will not leave here disappointed. I don't like olives at all but they offered some as a sample that were seasoned and I loved them! Presentation and flavor was on point for every dish. Excellent service as well. Highly recommend.
Decided to check out Luca to celebrate our 7th wedding anniversary on a Monday night. From the moment we walked in the door, to the minute we left after the server took the time to give us a tour of the place, we felt like VIPs. The server was very detailed and attentive, and we had a prime table right in front of the blue book shelf to watch the talented chefs in action all night. You could tell they truly enjoy what they do and were so calm, cool and collected the entire busy service. We enjoyed the Brussels sprout salad, ravioli, chicken, scallops and bomboloni for dessert. Each dish was well seasoned and the portions were perfect for sharing. We decided the ravioli was our favourite as the sauce and filling was addictive. It was a gem of an evening and is a great new addition to the Calgary food scene!
Well, excited was the understatement when I heard Giuseppe was opening a new restaurant in Calgary. His food has and continues to be the best in the City. He runs a tight ship so you can expect professional service and unique and delicious dishes. Go it alone or order family style the choice is yours but I highly recommend ordering and sharing, you will get to experience different culinary delights! Yes, I used these words because "food" simply doesn't describe it. Congratulations Giuseppe, Calgary is blessed to have such a talent in our great city.
