Very disappointing. I was excited to try this pizza based on all the rave reviews. However, it was not worth it, especially for the price. The pizza was bland and the crust was burnt. The mushrooms as seen in the picture were completely burned to a crisp and the cheese wasn't even fully melted. The arancini at least tasted good but couldn't make up for the terrible pizza. Wouldn't reccomend.
Just finished a fantastic meal ,exceptional staff, fantastic food, reasonable price! A place to sit down an enjoy your food!!! Will be going back for sure! This is saying alot as my husband is a super picky guy when it comes to his pizza
Really good pizza! Had it for the first time and really enjoyed it. Pizza had lots of flavor without being heavy. It was not too greasy, crust was cooked great, and not overly saucy. Just simply solid pizza, and there's nothing more I'd ask for. Staff was very friendly and accommodating too - made the place feel comfy! Will come back for more!
Usually they're amazing! Due to the price we usually only get Carmines when it's just adults and no kids and the "fancier" pizza place we order from. However we did call 30 minutes before closing without realizing the time....and he asked us to pick up within 20 minutes which is usually when we do anywho. I am a cook at another kitchen in town so I understand closing completely and did contemplate calling back to cancel but figured it was enough time. I wish I went with that feeling. The pizza we picked up tonight pick up order, not delivery was sub par at best and feeling a bit "jipped" is what I want to say. The pizza was soggy and very slapped together. Not at all what I've received before. If you don't want to make pizza 30 minutes before close, don't take a call in order? Just make up some excuse about you're already closing or just don't pick up the call? If you're going to charge $30 a pie approx. It should be the same quality throughout the 4 hour night.
Always tasty and flavorful. Our family favorite is the Little Havana. The pork in it is soft and tender plus the kids love the pickles!
Good pizza. However, my recent experience was poor due to technology and service. Technology issue: I ordered on Carmine’s website and selected delivery for 7:15, to arrive after putting my kids to sleep for friends who were arriving at 7. At 6:30 I had a delivery guy at my door with pizza… apparently selecting a delivery time isn’t enough, you’re also supposed to put a memo in, though it doesn’t say to do that anywhere. Service issue: Before the delivery guy came at 6:30, I got a call from carmines to say that the delivery guy had picked up the wrong pizzas and that he’s be back to deliver ours. When I told them I had selected a 7:15 delivery time they explained the website doesn’t work properly but said they’d have pizzas delivered at 7:15. Unfortunately when they arrived they were cold and soggy and I’m pretty sure they just let the pizzas that were ready early sit there until 7 rather than making fresh ones. In all not worth it for $30/pizza and an $8 delivery fee for a 5 min drive away.
We moved from Ontario to Alberta in April. I have not found a more like home pizza than here. Easily the best in the city. I've tried plenty. I really don't understand the cheese on top of your "toppings everyone loves in Calgary but apparently neither does carmine's. Thank God too I was ready to give up ordering pizza. Thank you guys. Amazing food. It's pricy but I'd rather pay more for a pizza and love it than hate it and pay less.
This place is amazing! I went to pick up my pizza tonight. I was 6 ish minutes late and the gentleman came out with an extra pizza. He told me they had made mine early and wanted to make sure it was fresh so I got BOTH. Not only is their customer service amazing, the pizza is absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!
We used to love their pizza and raved about it, until we ordered it in December wanting to impress our guests. We were embarrassed and disappointed with what we received. The lack of flavor and toppings, crust like cardboard , tasted like frozen pizza. To make matters worse, I’ve sent two emails explaining our disappointment only to receive no response!! It is quite obvious they do not care about quality in their food or their customer care. Save your money!!
5 stars does not do justice! Best Caesar salad and pizza! Finished with a complimentary canola. Well definitely be on my Calgary food list!
