The Grand Traverse Resort and Spa was great. The staff was friendly, the hotel was beautiful. We upgraded to the Tower rooms and were not disappointed. We had a corner room with a partial view of the lake and it was great. I would have given it 5 stars...but my only issues were that the walls were very thin! We could hear basic conversations from our neighbors on each side very well. Also we went in the spring time which was nice, less busy, less expensive and a little cooler outside, however the furnace in the room was noticeably loud! The breakfast buffet was just ok, but there is plenty of great places to eat downtown (which was like a 10 minute drive away). Overall I would definitely stay here again and I would recommend it to others as well. It's a great resort for families or for couples if you want to get away.

The resort was truly beautiful and well taken care of. I was there for a professional conference and the staff was exceptional as were the meeting rooms that we used. I would absolutely recommend the Grand Traverse Resort to any group that needs meeting locations!

My stay was very nice, the rooms are beautiful and the spa is wonderful. The parking lot was poorly treated and very icy, however. I slipped and fell last night on a large patch of ice and my husband fell on it as well as he was trying to catch me. When we told the hotel staff they acted like it was no big deal and kind of brushed it aside. I was having a great trip until this happened :(

Very clean hotel the check in process has been very smooth. I stayed at the golf view condos and moved the next night into the hotel and the transition was great. Kept the same key card and they offered to move my things if I wanted.

We stayed at The Shores which is GT's off-site condo property. It was absolutely beautiful! They have a shuttle service to go back and forth between the properties and the casino offers a shuttle between the casino and resort. All the staff were absolutely wonderful. It's just minutes from downtown so we were able to enjoy plenty of shopping both there and at the resort! We will certainly be returning.
