We booked our spot a couple of hours before. This place is famous for Indian Gujarati vegetarian cuisines. The Thali is a buffet and you cannot accommodate all the food in one plate. Try not to waste food and take small servings at a time. But I bet you'll not be able to find better taste than this in Canada. The staff is amazing and their hospitality is great, though the main lady with grey hair can change her attitude a little bit. Vegetarian options: Veg Gujarati thali Kid-friendliness: Yes, kids can enjoy the menu as well. Not so spicy. Parking: Outside free parking available. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes. Dietary restrictions: The menu is full vegetarian and many dishes are vegan.

It’s good to see pure Gujarati dishes made from authentic test by our lovely Gujarati aunties. All dishes are freshly made I’ve tested all the things very little bit but the menu was too long I can’t test all the things though my tummy get full with those delicacies. Love to be there love the test. Recommended And Must Try

This is my first time to come here, I know I will come back soon. Not a big fan of Indian food but I love their food and also friendly staff. My friend an I had a great time there. Thank you.

I usually go there whenever I have time and when I miss home. The affection that everyone gives you will make you feel at home. All the women working there are an example and the food is an absolute gift. Super yummy and healthy. I usually insist people to go and visit the place and they always thank me later.

I tried this place with my friend and I really enjoyed the food, ambience and staff as a Gujarati. I will definitely recommend this place to every Gujarati people as all the cooks are Gujarati aunties and they cook you food with love and it will definitely taste awesome.

A big disappointment was eating lunch at the Govardhan Thal restaurant on Markham road. A small tiny cramped place with the buffet running down one side of the restaurant, the first thing that invited attention was that this is not a place which is maintained. It seemed to be a very busy restaurant with lots of take outs. Local eaters means good food generally but this restaurant was not. Tried everything but the only few dishes that stood out were the cholla, the pani puri, the dahi kadhi and the rice. Asked for Puris's but was told that they were out of sticky. at 12.30 noon time The chapatis were too tough to handle. At 18$ a thali, I have had much better. Oh and please don't use their washroom. It's slippery as hell and you could land up with an injury. The only relief were the smiling servers. God bless them.

We went on for dinner and the food here was really great, it was like home cooked comfort food. The buffet is the one to go for and they have so many varieties of vegetarian dishes. The cuisine is from Gujarat a part of North west India. Vegetarian options: This place has vegetarian food.

This place is good for vegetarian Gujarati food. Specially their buffet. So much options and they serve fresh chapati. The staff are nice and the service is awesome. The seating is limited, so it's good to avoid the peak time.

Though not a Gujrati, this place reminded me of home. Their food is incredible. The thali is a buffet and you can get all sorts of authentic Gujrati food. It is vegetarian of course. Their warm theplas, aamras and dahi vadas deserve special mention The only caveat being that it is a small place and can be over occupied pretty quick. So you need to plan your trip. The staff are all ladies and they are friendly. All in all, it was a great experience and I hope to go back soon!

Govardhan Thal does Gujurati food better than anywhere else in the city. A wide array of vegetarian dishes served as an all-day buffet along with fresh and hot phulka roti, puran poli, and various other kinds of flatbreads. From undhiyu, dhokla, khandvi, mattar paneer, and pav bhaji to Gujurati dal, batate ka sabzi, kadhi and aamras - you're going to be spoilt for choice.
