GoodLife Fitness Centres

Noticed a drastic change since the old Managers left. Staff seem to be under motivated and don’t seem to be happy to come into work. This has become noticeable from longtime members as now no cleaning is being done. No cleaning solution in bottles are being topped up until a shift change maybe.nnMachines aren't getting fixed cardio, carabiners that are unsafe for use are being placed back to the equipment because “no one is ordering new ones”.nnMusic is blasting through the speakers where you can hear it past your own headphones and making conversation impossible when you work out a good chunk of your morning, you tend to have some conversations. The days when the music doesn’t work is a blessing.nnThe most recent change, the equipment was moved around the floor. I notice unsafe lifting practices where there is no doubt some staff got hurt, and a member had to step in to help!nnIf you want change and move things around, get rid of some of the treadmills and ellipticals. There is an absurd amount. Then anything you change around would probably make sense due to the space you created.nnFor being a location that is struggling to either keep members or make new ones, it’s doing a poor job keeping up to the tiny requests from long term members to make the gym stand out a bit more in a positive way.nnAs of today, the cost of membership is not worth what this gym has to offer.

Great gym, I’ve been going to GoodLife for 3ish years, but right now the steam room only produces steam at certain hours of the day. Seems to work fine from 0300-0800hrs? Not working from approx 0900-1300hrs. Would be nice to use the steam room at all hours of the day. Will change this to 5 star if this can be addressed.

The staff are friendly and accommodating, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The facility is well equipped, with a limited number of users at a time, ensuring a comfortable experience. There are ample lockers and spacious walkways, along with a pleasant steam room. The showers are functional and clean, though the wooden doors show some visible mold, which could benefit from attention.nThat is why a 4 star.

Once upon a time this gym was good; now Most of the machines are broken or malfunctioning & not even labeled “out of service”. I tried 6 treadmills they were either frozen or kept turning off midway for no reason. The massage chairs are also barely holding on. A lot of the buttons don’t work. The staff seems unbothered and unfocused

I started going to Goodlife almost a year ago because I received a corporate rate through work. I then cancelled at the place I was going to because after the discount, I ended up paying the same price I was previously but had the added perk of tanning, which was great for me. For the whole year, I genuinely tried to like going there, but I just cancelled my Goodlife membership and I'm honestly wishing I never stopped going to the gym I was at a year ago.nnThe machine selection is good, but the place is just, really dirty. Go sit on the adductor or abductor machines and just look down, look in the cracks of the stretching mats; anything that isn't super easily accessible by a vacuum is just gross. The mirrors are ridiculously dirty, and then when you do want to go find a bottle of cleaner or some paper towel, it's empty. There is also such an abundance of crowds there, making it really unenjoyable to be there alone. I found myself talking myself out of going quite a lot recently, and it's because I just didn't want to go to this specific gym. Hopefully these guys can get it figured out for the members that are still going to continue paying for such a dirty spot.
