Good Sushi

Great place. Usually relatively quiet when I’ve gone. Nice quality dishes and good portions. They also have a great selection of vegan rolls to enjoy!

They also serve some korean cuisines here. The sundubu jjigae - bland and small so I wouldn't recommend that. Tempura was fried well - light and crispy Spicy salmon roll - the size is good and the ratio of rice to filling is also good but the problem is that the salmon is mushy. It wasn't fishy or anything but when you marinate raw fish for a long time, the meat breaks down and the texture becomes mushy. That made it not nice to eat. Hopefully they can fix this.

Update 12/26/22: This time we ate in, the restaurant is fairly large with lots of tables. The very large menu offers Japanese and Korean items. Half of us are vegans and the menu is very accommodating in its selections. Everything was beautifully presented, well cooked and delicious pics included Total bill for 13 items plus a Diet Coke- $158.52 First time take out sushi in environmentally-friendly packaging included: Spicy DF Cauliflower little bit oily, Crispy Tempura Tofu very good, California Roll and Tempura Yam Roll was quite good. Our vegans order often from here and this was a Mother’s Day treat. I will ask if MSG is used next time though.

Really good vegan options! The tea was awesome too. Everyone was super nice. The crispy kale topping was sooooo good.

Awesome sushi place! They have a whole page of fancy vegan options in their very extensive menu. Big size portions of the rolls, which are delish!! Had the kale gomae salad which was so good, I could’ve eaten 3 of them. Good Sushi? Naaaa, GREAT Sushi!

update2022 Quality has gone down. Food was cold and the rice tasted hard. It was not fresh. We did the combo. Usually comes with salad and fried chicken. It was not in the order when we got home. They changed their menu and some items cost more now. Not sure how I feel about that for the quality you’re getting. I still like it here. First time trying this place, it was ok however definitely room for improvement. The aburi was so buttery but i think its because there was so much mayo. I love mayo but i think they could do with less, I did not like how it kept on falling apart. The salad was a no go. It was not fresh and a lot of the salad was rotting i sent it back and got a second salad. Not as much rot, but still not fresh. I did enjoy the negi toro roll. It was so buttery. But i think it’s because they mashed it with mayo. I would come back but i do hope they would make some changes. The servers are nice. It’s in a good busy area.

Good Sushi is NOT a fancy overpriced sushi joint. The restaurant interior is nice, if not a little plain, clean and roomy. During my visit the staff were friendly and my order was correct. The selection of Japanese and some Korean dishes on the menu was very good. The food was excellent, with generous sized sushi rolls and quality, generous cuts of sashimi. I also had an udon dish that was delicious. The prices were very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food and if you're a sushi fan, I definitely recommend Good Sushi! Go here every so often, it's alright. Sushi is pretty good and not too pricey, tried ordering takeout and a short rib rice bowl last night. Ordering online, they never tell you when it's ready, and the estimate is always 45 mins, which in my case, was too late, as it was lukewarm when I brought it home. BBQ and Brussel sprouts were super greasy, but meat marinade was good. Overall this dish was a little overpriced for what you get. I'd stick with fish stuff or tempura here.

Although there wasn't many tables, the staff seemed really busy. I tried to get staffs attention to order a few times and was successful after a while. When my food came again, I tried to get staffs attention as I wasn't given any soya sauce when my sushi arrived. I will most likely give this place another try as the food was good.

The restaurant lets you stay and chat with friends even if you're done eating. Very responsive staff.Food: 5/5
